Just Plane News

So Ram Engines has said that I will get the first engine (shipped) on or about the 15th of June, with the second engine to follow about 10-14 days later.

We shall see, but I hope to be flying mid July. Gonna be like starting all over. I’ve been flying smaller, less powerful (and much less capable and MUCH less well equipped) airplanes since October.

All good things come to those who wait and all that. This has been an exercise in personal growth. I’m not a patient person. But on this, I have had no choice.

On the bright side, I’ve saved a lot of money in operating expenses……

More evidence

It is sad that they couldn’t be be bothered, not even the Republicans, to show all of this evidence before the 2020 elections…..But they were willing to do anything, even the Republicans, to make sure Trump wasn’t in for 4 more years….

Of course now, they are letting it out because they have no need for O’l Slow Joe Biden anymore…in fact, the establishment wants him out.

Had they shown us all of this 3 years ago, we’d have Trump instead of Biden, the economy would be better, the Liberal causes wouldn’t have taken front, and likely Ukraine would not be at war with Putin.

Of course this simply means that they want Joe out of the way so they can field a candidate that doesn’t appear to be so useless, (and that isn’t Trump, of course).

Ukraine, Russia, China and now Romania. Joe sold his office and influence for big buck.

It was a very good day

Shooting wise, at least.

One of the guys I shoot with wanted to change things up from our normal…

Wind was 4 knots from directly behind.

Range was 50 yards..

Target was NRA small bore 50 foot targets

Caliber was .22 LR.

From the bench. I used a rest with a sandbag at the butt of the rifle. Others used lead sleds.

all 5 shot groups except the center one,  which was 10. I’m kinda happy with my progress.

Progression was left to right, top to bottom with the center target last (yeah, I know that’s not the proper way to do it, but that was the way we shot it). It was a fun improvisation.

We hadda put the lines on the targets ’cause after 2 or three shots the four of us shooting had nothing decent to aim at, so we improvised. Aiming at a hole didn’t give a precise enough aiming point.

This was the second of 3 targets. The first had no lines, making aiming problematic, the third had a bit of a gusty crosswind, so the groups opened up a bit.

‘Twas a decent challenge for me and Vera2, the non-Ruger 10-22.

I was shooting Tac-22 black box

I Identify

Alissa Heinerscheid, vice president of marketing for Bud Light, the first woman to ever lead the popular brand…..

The woman who came up with the trans movement marketing ploy for Bud Light, who came up with, and approved the idea of “Partnering” with Dylan Mulvaney, the man (apparently still intact (IYKWIM) who has made millions of dollars “Identifying” as a woman “Girl”…….

Who thought that alienating the current market for Bud Light, mostly straight men, would somehow increase sales…..

Yeah, it rumored that not only does she currently Identify as “On leave” but will soon identify as “Unemployed and unemployable”

Of course, she can always work as a barista at Starbucks or something….but I doubt she ever gets a job at a marketing firm again, unless it is mopping the floors. Her pronoun will soon be WAS.

It is unknown as to what pronouns her boss will end up with.

A thought on the Trans community

If they were a significant percentage of the population, if they were a percentage equal to their impact and influence, then the entire damage to the Bud Light brand could have been overcome if the Trans community were big enough and were willing to buy the product.

I mean, Conservatives have often rallied around a business with a “BUYcott” to overcome the supposed liberal boycott of a product, and it has, with few exceptions, overwhelmingly worked.

But they (Trannies and their supporters) aren’t that big of a percentage of the population, nor are they willing to replace the once loyal customers who were offended….If every single Trans “person” chose to buy Bud Light instead of some other product, they could go a long way towards reversing the boycott….Replace the angry straight male customers. They could, but they won’t.

Maybe they can’t.

Really, they are less than one percent…a bit more than a half percent actually, of the population of the United States….it is only the Media, the Advertising people that fawn over them, and, of course, the HR and legal departments of large corporations (likely due to fear of lawsuits) giving them an influence well beyond their numbers….so alienating nearly 100% of Bud Light customers (overwhelmingly straight males) for a population that TOTALS less than 1% seems stupid at best. But if they ALL decided to buy one case of Bud light each week it would at least make a dent in the sales drop that the overwhelmingly straight customers made when they left for other beers.

Here’s the thing:

Most people simply don’t care about the Trans/Gay/Lesbian/non-binary/whatever lifestyles. They accept even if they don’t approve. But shove that lifestyle in most people’s faces, insist that it become “normal”, and they get angry. Just leave them alone, they don’t care. But the Trans/Gay/whatever folks can’t stop at that. They want, and insist on, approval.

And, as we see in this latest advertising debacle, they just ain’t gonna get it.

One wonders

Exactly how many tens of millions of dollars were spent on the Coronation ceremony and the preparations and security before and after….

And how much that cost each and every british citizen individually.

How much good could that amount of money done for folks, be they british or otherwise, that really needed it as opposed to the current majesty who inherited his job?

Lots of money wasted today in Britain.

But hey, if the Brits wanna pay for a coronation of a king who doesn’t rule a country, that’s their business, not mine.
