There are those who say that only the crimes like these

are shown to make one segment of our society look bad….

But yet, those are the folks committing the crimes like these……

Harrowing moment an armed thief follows woman into a building and attacks her before stealing her car – as Chicago crime skyrockets 40 percent on last year

If the other races committed crimes like these as often, then we’d ahve lots more video to show.

But we don’t…..

Funny how that works, innit?

One of the reasons

Why the “Red Wave” fizzled might be that the GOP-side candidates were, for the most part, mediocre. Few were outstanding. Few appeared as really great leaders, even fewer were people that were worth voting FOR.

Much of the Red voters were, I think, simply tired of the people running….most of the votes were votes AGAINST the blue candidate.

If the GOP really wants to gain power they need to find some candidates that people will vote FOR…..and that just isn’t happening.

Trump was the top of his field in 2016 not because he was a great candidate, but because the other candidates were so weak and cheezy and wishy-washy. Then he won because the alternative was Hillary.

We need the GOP to get some people worth voting FOR, for a change.

Here’s a thought

What if the DNC folks just simply weren’t as blatant in their manipulation this time vs 2020?

What if, instead of wholesale [ETA: and BLATANT] cheating,  (which they knew people would not put up with a second time) they simply gently shaded the votes as they were counted, pushing their closer races subtly to the Blue side.

Races that were close, or slight losers to the Dems were suddenly slight wins or really close for the Dems. Like Points Shaving in a basketball game…..

The “Red Wave” was still a (minor) win for the “Conservatives” but it wasn’t as overwhelming nor as all encompassing as predicted. The DNC folks still have a decent balance of power. Nothing as blatant as two years ago, this time the results are (mostly) believable…..(except in Arizona…)

I mean, since we no longer have any confidence in our elections anymore, this is as likely of a scenario as any to explain the differences between the polls and the results of the “election” this time around.

Probably the best thing about the elections being over

Is the fact that the DNC supported ads are OVER for a while…

I am so tired of hearing about the non-D Candidate and how they oppose “Women’s Health Care” (euphemism for abortion because the ad writers think it fools people and believe it sounds better), how they “Support the Trump Agenda” (means they oppose outlandishly radical DNC policies), and “Support Guns on the Street” or “Oppose Sensible Gun Laws” (means they support the Second Amendment and don’t want to see gun grabbing politicians have the ability to make stupid laws that won’t help the “Problem”..)

And the best part is that I won’t have to hear, over and over and over and over, the phrase “Too Extreme” for at least another year or so until the ramp up for the next election.

I mean, if they had more than one version of the ad before they play it 2000 times a day….

(To be fair, I got tired of the repetitive Republican ads as well, but they weren’t as irritating as the DNC sponsored ones…)

.

Sadly, not yet fired

Remember the legally blind guy who was arrested for not showing enough respect to the police officer in Columbia County Florida?

Stopped for a reasonable reason, the encounter should have ended when the officer realized that she had made a mistake, and both parties should have gone on their way. But she had to show him that she was in charge and arrested him to show she had power.

She and her supervisor have been “suspended” pending further investigation and will have to undergo “Civil Rights Training” because their behavior was “unacceptable”….

It would seem to me that they have shown their unsuitability to be police officers. Not for making the mistake and investigating, but their actions after that. For arresting a man who did not show enough obeisance because they were police officers. For basically believing that they had the right to do so just because they could.

They should be barred from ever wearing a badge or holding police powers.

If they retain that badge, then there may be some truth to what Dan says about police agencies.

Failure in styling

I mean it.

I saw a Jeep Grand Waggoneer up close and personal for the first time yesterday.

What an ugly piece of shit. “Big”, is about the only redeeming quality.

It is amazing that anyone will buy such a piece of crap.

No pattern here:

Married men went R by 19 points

Married Women went R by 14 points

Unmarried women over 40 went D by 36 pts.

While I cannot confirm those numbers fully, it does fit a pattern I see in the people I know, both Meatspace and online. (there is some overlap…some folks I have met but we mostly interact online).

Essentially single ladies with lots of cats that cannot have a relationship voted D, while those with a relationship voted R. (But these single ladies “Don’t Need a Man”….but most of them depend on the State for protection and other survival)

The ability of women to lie to themselves, especially in large groups is amazing…..
