The people of New York should ask how their tax money is being spent wisely going after Trump in a 3 year “Investigation” into his business dealings.

The claim is, apparently, that he overvalued his properties to get loans on them. Bad business practices by the lending banks then, if they failed to verify the value of the assets, innit? When you get a mortgage for your home, generally the banks do some sort of appraisal or market value estimate to make sure that they are covered if you fail to make payments on the loan….they can sell the collateral (generally the home being mortgaged) to recover their losses. I know that each time I refinanced my businesses that the banks required some sort of verification of value of the businesses to ensure that they were covered. …If the banks in this case failed to do so, that is on them, not on Trump. His valuation is what he thinks it is worth, not what the market might think. Up to the banks to determine if the numbers are close or way out of line…..

One wonders how much taxpayer money Ms James has spent to persecute Trump? Do they approve of that wasteful spending? It sure looks like the AG is doing this to be petty, vindictive and to keep Donnie from running in 2024. Do the NY taxpayers approve?

Who got damaged if his valuations were incorrect? Did he default on the loans and the collateral was insufficient to cover them? Not that I am aware of….who got hurt ? Where is the actual, you know, crime?

Yep. Our Strategic (note that word) Petroleum Reserve is at it’s lowest level since 1984.

This is the supply meant for war. Meant to safeguard the United States if we are at war, or are attacked and cannot easily keep importing crude oil. Or if our oil supplying areas were somehow stopped from producing.

Biden ha used it to artificially reduce the market price of oil. Selling that oil (via a Hunter Biden-associated company, oddly enough) on the open market in an attempt to reduce the price we Americans pay for gasoline, diesel, and heating oil. (I was wrong, BTW,, the massive amounts of oil sold by the US DID reduce the pricing).

It worked, and for a short time (oddly, just before the elections) gasoline is below $4 a gallon….in other words, the American people get to buy “inexpensive” gas because they or other taxpayers bought oil in the past that was stored long ago and then sold to keep their price down at the pump…

And it isn’t like there is any plan to buy back that inventory now that the price is down…(that would push the price back up which Biden cannot allow until the elections are over, lest the DNC losses climb even higher than they are likely to be) .

So, again, the US is in an even weaker logistical position than it was 2 years ago. all to push the price of oil lower.

Note that economics is NOT the reason for the SPR oil that is in the reserve.

But the security of the US and it’s citizens takes a back seat to the DNC maintaining it’s power so that they can continue to gut the country and “Fundamentally Change” our way of life….

So I am the treasurer for my shooting club. and today (Monday)  I was taking the receipts from a raffle we held to the bank.

On the way, I came upon a (minor) fender bender accident. The police had already been called, but the cars were in an area where one of the cars (which wasn’t drivable) was causing some confusion and they were in a somewhat dangerous place. So I parked the car and turned on my flashers in a place that gave people some notice and somewhat shielded the accident scene….

The cops soon arrived and while one was talking with the two drivers who had been in the accident the other came over to where I was sitting in my car getting ready to leave

He approached the passenger side and I rolled the window down. He asked if I had seen the accident or been involved and I told him that no, I had come upon the scene a few minutes after and had simply been trying to make the scene safer for other drivers. He thanked me and I said that I would be leaving as it appeared that the cops had things in hand. Then he looked down and saw the cash that I had in a clip on the passengers seat.

“That’s a lot of money”

“Yes, it is ($3420.00 mostly in 20’s)”

“Where did you get that money?”

“With all due respect, that is none of your business, officer”

I then locked the doors. Rolled the window most of the way up as well.

“Since you won’t tell me, I could take it”

“Why? Do you think I have committed a crime?”.

“How much is there? Looks like several thousand dollars”

“I am taking it to the bank to deposit it…how much is none of your business” (There was a filled out deposit slip on top).

“Looks suspicious to me”

“If you are thinking Civil Asset Forfeiture, better get a supervisor. If you try to take it then I would consider it Armed Robbery…and would respond appropriately”

“Are you making a threat? ”

“Nope. Just telling ya. Am I free to go?”

With that, he turned and walked away

What a great way to make me want to help next time. What a great way to make me respect police officers.

I respect and appreciate the job the police do. But cops like this erode that respect.

So the German police are planning for riots and Civil Unrest… 

They expect that when the price of things goes sky high, the price of natural gas follows (it is already insanely high), and electricity TRIPLES from today’s already high price,,….

That the people will be (ahem) unhappy…and will demonstrate that fact in the streets.

It won’t be pretty. Germans have a history….and the history isn’t a nice one. .

I expect that if there are blackouts that the Germans will become…incensed. And likely take their unhappiness out on either the immigrants or the Governments…..or both.

Merkel did her job well, didn’t she? Weakened and damaged the country and then, of course, left others to try and clean up the mess.

They were defenseless if they were following the law …while he threatened them and smashed furniture in a rage.

Indiana? Yeah, not so much. Threatening people with a deadly weapon (that hand-axe) is grounds to end up perforated and approaching room temperature. In any crowd of more than 10 people there is likely to be at least one armed individual. In some places  everyone will be armed.

The best part? He is out on Bail! of ZERO dollars. Released.

Poverty is a state of mind. Failure to figure out what prosperity is and failure to implement it. Generally caused, at least in part, by short term thinking.

But Denver is gonna try to fix that by giving money to poor people to see what happens. Kinda-Sorta a limited Universal Basic Income.

Denver is set to provide 140 homeless people with $12,000 in no-strings-attached cash to see if it lifts them out of destitution

This will fail for the same reason that Free Schools failed, that Welfare failed, that Free Healthcare failed…..That all government programs to help the poor and poverty stricken failed….. People who are poor (generally, there are exceptions) are poor because of their mindset. Because of the culture they were raised in….because they cannot succeed with the morals and values that they were taught…..Because their parents never taught them how to get ahead…..Never how to plan for the future.

Is poverty a self perpetuating cycle? Mostly, yes. And I expect that the Denver experiment will fail.

So when Texas Governor Abbot or Ron DeSantis from Florida moves Illegal entrants to the United States (I.E: Border Crossers) from Texas or Florida to a “Blue” enclave like New York or Washington DC or (HEH) to Martha’s Vineyard, then they are “Committing Crimes Against Humanity”…

But when the Biden administration ,who has been flying groups of Illegal Border Crossers from the southern border to cities all across the US….. Well, that is OK.in fact it is a Good Thing because those people need a place to stay….

Funny how the standards change, innit? Especially in political speeches or the Media (But I repeat myself). Joe and his people wanted to spread as many illegals into small towns and small(er) cities for the Blue Collar folks to feed and house….often with no notice …..(and so they would eventually become citizens (maybe) and vote Blue….and the media and the Pundits and the Politicians say it is good (if they even acknowledge it at all)….But when the folks on the Right do a similar thing and put the illegals in New York or Chicago or DC, then they create a “Humanitarian Crisis” and are being just plain mean…..

Funny how that works. Innit? Double standards. And Abbott and DeSantis are exposing their hypocrisy.
