These protesters depend on the decency of people to not be hurt or killed. But at some point, someone is gonna get tired enough of their antics, the disruptions, de plain stupidity, and is gonna decide that being civilized and tolerant is not worth it.

And then it is gonna get ugly.

Tolerant cops are simply making the issue worse.

The above is Rome, but it is happening nearly everywhere. The right to protest is one thing, but this is another. Much like here in the US, where protests like BLM turned to other forms of “Mostly peaceful” protest….(Or the idiots in the Jan 6th riot).

And at some point it is gonna get bad.

The Media (and the DNC , apparently) have ceased to call the Jan 6th riot an Insurrection when covering the DNC led hearings aimed at trashing Trump?

No more “Insurrection” no more “removing the foundation of our Democracy” (we aren’t a democracy, but a Republic)…

The media is reporting on the “Hearings” but they seem to be backing off on much of the rhetoric.

The only thing I can figure is that the DNC must be conducting some sort of Focus Group or polling to determine how to play this and which terms are resonating with the public.

They must really fear that Trump will run again in ’24. (And he will likely win, despite his manifold flaws).

So Ken Griffin, head of the hedge fun Citadel, has had enough.

He’s tired of the crime, the fact that even he, in his high end neighborhood, isn’t safe from crime, from robbery, from carjacking.

He’s had enough and is moving to Miami. 

He and his staff “No longer feel safe”

All due to “Progressive” policies that enable crime, rather than stifle it.

Lori Lightfoot and her ilk, aided and abetted by Governor Pritzker, have made Chicago a place where decent people don’t feel safe.

This isn’t the South Side, where shooting and carjackings are normal. This is the Northside, where the Wealthy people live. As a friend of my father says (They live in the Northside area) “The streets change hands at night. We don’t go out after dark”….and this isn’t a white person, but a VERY successful black family.

When businesses leave a city due to crime, then someone should take notice and realize that their policies are failing. Not that anyone with half a braid couldn’t see the rise in crime coming from the idiotic policies.

But the Progressive agenda moves ever forward.

One of the members of my range is a police chief in a nearby town.

Of course, someone asked him about Uvalde.

He cannot understand what the cops were thinking, how this debacle happened, and how the failures happened.

He didn’t want to be an armchair quarterback, and pointed out that he wasn’t there…… BUT:

His training (and, apparently the standard for most officers and jurisdictions in the area) is that in a school shooting or other active shooter situation is that the first two officers go in. If only one is available, he goes in BY HIMSELF if backup is more than 3 minutes away. No matter what.

He feels that this debacle at Uvalde will set relations with police in smaller towns back badly. That people will no longer believe that police are protectors, and are just ticket writers, rather than sheepdogs.

He is disgusted, not only with the leadership of the Uvalde police, but with the officers who didn’t do what they should have immediately, before the on-scene commander issued orders otherwise…(Or even after).

He did point out that, in his opinion, most officers coming into the force in the past 15 years lack initiative, critical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to adapt without orders….In other words, the younger officers will wait for orders and follow them even if the training tells them otherwise.

But he feels that this was a failure in every way. He is disgusted.

Not that we (and anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together who is not a Democrat congressman) didn’t already know…..Of course, Joe Biden is unaware of reality, but he has been that way for a long time….

It ain’t Putin’s fault:

We already knew that, despite what Brandon Slow Joe thinks. But he is so far divorced from reality that he may not realize the truth…

And then there is this additional story: We were so much better under Trump, at least economically. Jerome Powell wishes for the days under Trump when inflation was low, unemployment was at historic lows, labor participation was increasing, and real wages were increasing faster than inflation.

But Biden pandered to the Green folks, and damaged the oil infrastructure in order to try and “Green” up the country….and now we are suffering. Congress (the DNC parts anyway) spent money like water these past two years in order to pay off the groups that supported them (and to advance their Liberal causes) and injected WAY too much money that the country did not have (see also “Deficit Spending”, a favorite of Liberals) to the tune of TRILLIONS of dollars of additional debt ….causing runaway inflation that we have to deal with…essentially devaluing our dollars.

Apparently common sense and intelligence depart from people once they join the Democratic Party…they don’t understand what causes inflation and are willing to damage the country and it’s citizens so long as they gain ground for their causes…

So Brandon Joe Biden tells us that there WILL be a second pandemic. Will. Be. 

I’m wondering if it will be timed to happen just before the Nov. 2022 elections….but I think that that is lost for the DNC…

I am betting it will be in the summer of 2024. Just before the big election.

about the Uvalde debacle, the worse it gets.

not only does it look like cowardice, lack of thinking and poor training (and following orders that were obviously wrong) it also appears that there was a great deal of stupidity and groupthink.

The video evidence of cops within FEET of the doors to the classroom where the shooter was holed up is damning…they have the equipment, they have the weapons, the body armor and all the rest.

What they were lacking was, apparently, leadership and intestinal fortitude.

Decisions made in the hat of the moment should often be judged with a bit of leeway, but at some point one has to ask “Just what the fuck were you idiots thinking?” This would appear to be beyond that point.

Even their peers judging the actions that day have described it as “Abject Failure“.

And it reflects badly on police thought processes and training.

So some of Stephen Colbert’s staff were arrested for going back into the Capitol after being forced to leave….and the Comedian thinks that is unfair.

While it is a matter of degree, he obviously seems to feel that his staff should be treated differently, and given more privilege, than the Jan 6 rioters. Intent may play a part here, but when we scrape down to the bottom, they were trespassers, no different than those idiots who were in the Capitol a few years ago.

While they did not do any damage, nor steal anything, those are separate crimes. Most of the Jan 6th fools didn’t do those things either.

Are they gonna be held incommunicado for months?

Or are the standards different for Leftist Comedians?

I mean, until a few years ago, thre was no such cry for Juneteenth”. It is a constructed holiday, made up by the DNC led Black movement. Few had heard of it, even fewer cared.

But in order to garner votes, we had a very skillfully led coalition of social media, Big Media, and other influences to get a holiday named Juneteenth, a simplistically named holiday that would appeal to mostly uneducated black people so that they could have something around which to rally, and which the DNC could point and say “We Gave You This Holiday!”….”You should vote for us!” (yes, the date has historical significance, but I don’t believe for moment that that was the reason that it became a National Holiday)

So they found a date that they could engender a bunch of sentiment around, and named it “Juneteenth”.

But you’d think that the real Emancipation Day would have more meaning to a race that had been enslaved. Of course, that day happened because of Republicans, so the Dems couldn’t use it..

And now instead we have another three-day weekend for Federal and State workers at the start of summer. .
