While I think that Trump could be making better choices in his cabinet picks (and he needs to stop nominating these fake Conservatives/RINOS) I don’t object to his choices for the same reason the republicans and the democrats and the media do find them objectional …

I am ALL for putting new people, with a  new perspective in the positions, to shake up the hidebound cultures…to force a new perspective and a new attitude.

If so and so “Doesn’t have the experience” to run XXX agency then at least that person  won’t be infected by the attitudes and culture of the :old guard” and will likely shake things up and maybe change it for the better (most government agencies could hardly be changed for the worse at this point).

I do think that science based agencies should have someone with a science based  background leading them, and fact-based opinions, rather than fear based….(Looking at you, RFK– get a grip on reality) and agencies regulating certain sectors of industry should have someone with more than a YouTube level of education running them….maybe have worked in the industry….

But Trump has to get better advice for many of these appointments or it is gonna come back and bite him on the ass. Whoever is giving him advice needs their butt kicked.

I hadn’t flown in 2 weeks, and even then, it was just a checkout for the 340 after the annual (which took a month). Then we had crappy weather, and then, of course, Thanksgiving….Before I knew it, it was 2 weeks since I had flown…..

The temp was 16 degreed F, the wind was more or less straight down the runway. Density altitude minus 1800 feet.

Damn, that plane can climb in those conditions. What with the cold air being very dense for the wings to grab, the colder air through the intercoolers so the turbos are working at full peak, and no need to watch cylinder head temps, it felt like I was flying a jet. I hit 2000 feet in les than a mile from the start of the takeoff run.

Spent an hour just flying by hand, getting the aileron trim set right after they screwed with it in the annual, and just plain enjoying myself.

The plane flies hands-off now, all controls are neutral, so there is no roll….which will make IFR hand flying much easier. Did an ILS landing (was by myself no foggles, so it doesn’t log) in VFR conditions just for practice and was kinda wandering across the localizer, but still a good one.

Great day to fly and it was good for me to do so. Lowers the blood pressure and all that.

I gotta find someone to act as safety pilot and do a couple of approaches in a row, both for currency and for competence though.

Either way, 1.2 and two.

Why the republicans are just sitting back and allowing the delayed vote counts in blue states to keep going on and on and erode away and remove much of the majority in the senate that was there on election night…

At what point does this stop? At what point will the Republicans stand up and actually do something?

I grow tired of the noise that leads to nothing.

The more I look into Pam Bondi, the less I like her.

She is a political creature, a windsock, if you will. I’m pretty sure she ahs no loyalty to anything but power. Certainly not for anything that is morally right, nor has she ever chosen to say “NO!, I won’t do that” because it was the right thing to do….

She apparently has no standards, no moral compass, no principles….she just does what she is told by whoever is in power at the time. (Look at her role in George Zimmerman’s trial)…or many of the other politically charged incidents she was a part of.

She is likely to turn against Trump the first time the Republican Power Brokers tell her to.

Whoever Donnie is getting his advice from needs a swift kick in the ass….or a traitor’s noose.

All those that vowed to leave the country after Donald Trump was elected.

I own a plane. I will take you Canada, (Or, although I doubt that you would like to go, Mexico).

I can take 5 at a time, so you will all have to take turns waiting for a ride.

(If you wait until after Jan 20th, I shoulda have my new plane, then we can take 6 at a time. )

But the ride is on me, as long as you put in writing that you will never return to the US.

Dinner at my Brother’s house. All his kids, some of the other nieces, me and the parents.

3 dogs.

The food was outstanding. My sister in law does everything from scratch, and the care she takes shows in the excellence of the meal.

That’s ham, turkey, smashed taters w/gravy, corn casserole, mac and cheese, and a roll. Enough calories to feed an entire ethiopian village for 3 days.

I had another plateful minus the ham, and plus some of the other sides that wouldn’t fit on the first plate.

Then 2 pieces of pie (there were 4 choices, plus cake, plus cookies).

A cup of coffee to help me stay awake.

I hope that you, wherever you were, had it as good. (‘Cause it doesn’t get much better than that).

Was good to see my family, the nieces and their men, and have everyone (that could get there) together.

Remember why we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US. For those who live elsewhere, who don’t celebrate, you really miss out.
