Yeah, you really should read this.
Not quite the same thing, but still…

Remember those folks who trashed the Wal-Mart in Louisiana when the EBT system went down? Where the management felt it was best for the safety of the store and employees to just let them charge whatever they wanted on their card since they couldn’t check the balances?
And those folks are finally going to get some consequences for their theft.
Good. More like this.
Some people think they are entitled to whatever they can grab/steal. They fail to realize that it, rather, a gift.
Were it up to me, I’d cut ’em off from any state aid. Period. Abusing the gift of society should be punished. At worst, it is a lesson for the rest. Behave or starve.
Then I think I’d have to hope that the cop had left town by the time I got released.
Else there might be another body.
Now I wasn’t there, and I have no dog in this hunt. But to tazer, handcuff and then tazer the dude again for trying to enter the burning house is just plain wrong. If dude wanted to enter the burning home, that is his right. Not the cops decision to make.
Were I Ryan Miller, I’d be having an off the book discussion with the cop(s). After I had calmed down.
Or my sweet girl Vera might whisper in his ear from far away. Say 250 yds.
“Revenge is a dish best served cold” and all that……
When even the greatest incompetent loser calls you
I expect that Carter is glad that the Democrats have found someone to supplant him as worst president.
Y’know, I always thought you were a liar…I mean, really, you ARE a politician, after all. Most politicians are liars, to one extent or another….My Grandfather told me that I could always tell when a politician was lying…..look to see if his lips are moving. And I have found that more or less this is true.
But you, sir, take the cake. There are lies and then there are LIES.
We expected to have you lie about some things…small lies.
But you have lied about many BIG things:
The role you and the rest of your white house advisors played in the capture/killing of BinLaden,
Benghazi: Can we really say enough about the series of lies there?
Of course, the latest one: You can keep your health care insurance plan if you like it…..Yeah, that ranks right up there with some of the things I told girls when I was 18….*
IfYaKnowWhat IMean…Hehehe
I figure you lied when you took your oath,,,Twice: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the
Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my
Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United
States.” You sure failed to keep that oath, didntcha?
So when you come out with your next version of your Gun Control effort….I should believe you when you say you don’t want to take guns away from law abiding citizens such as myself?
Sure, I will.
*(“I wont…”.oh hell you figure it out)
But Peter’s article really shows the facts.
Sometimes I wonder if I should cash out my IRA (or a portion of it) and pay off the house….which is really the only thing appreciating in value in my current portfolio.
Stocks and bonds are flat, or at best barely keeping up with inflation.
Ditto my IRA money. Not making huge gains so compounding of small interest isn’t resulting in real gains….
Ditto savings.
I think that my guns and ammo will be worth more very soon, but I’ll likely not be willing to sell at any price……
Same with prepped foods and other supplies for when things get pear shaped….
Alternatively, Maybe I should go as deep in debt as my cash flow allows….and pay off today’s dollar amount loans in a few years with dollars that are worth significantly less…
Thoughts?
And yet, strangely, 14 members showed up for the scheduled work party to replace the fence around the range that the county totally screwed up when they re-did the drainage ditch that passes through the range property.
Leaving aside the question of competence of the engineers at the Porter County Drainage board engineering offices and subsequent execution of the so-called engineering plans, the range needed a new fence…the old one had been destroyed and strange kids and dogs were wandering into the not so safe zones downrange….
And the kids (and adults) on the four wheelers were causing damage.
Since local laws precluded my suggested solution (*stringing of tight piano wires (painted black) at about 40″ height* to discourage trespassing), fence materials were procured and a time was set for installation.
Then we got nearly 3″ of rain the night before. Ground kinda skwishy…
Yet, surprisingly, 14 (nearly 10% of the members!) people showed up to erect the fence.
The outdoor range is now somewhat more secure than it was Friday.
It is nice working with MEN, not overgrown children. People who know how to work, take orders, needing no supervision nor coordination and brought their own basic tools and gloves and such, but were instead able to organize themselves to get a job done.
Of course, driving the Kubota loader home 3 miles in 40 degree weather wearing wet shoes was a bitch at the end of a long cold wet day. Now I gotta get caught up on all the other shit I should have been doing this weekend. Winter be coming and I are running out o time
*(apparently the local Po-Po frown upon such measures against trespassers….? who knew? )
