You knew they’d go after him

Seems James O’Keefe pissed off enough people that they are doing everything they can to punish him…

If the press had bothered to do their job and give us….you know,,,,News instead of partisan political pap, then he’d not have had to do his wonderful interviews to show where your tax money was going and what the ACORN folks were doing with it.

Now, the powers that be are pulling out all the stops to get revenge.

I wonder if there is a legal defense fund or something set up somewhere.

I f each of us gave a single buck, his fine and attorney fees would disappear quickly.

Strange…..

They let all the others go unmolested:

The inner city folks…
The Organizing for America folks…
Anyone who had a tie to ACORN…
Nearly the entire 6th precinct in Philadelphia….

But THIS LADY they are going after….

Sad, isn’t it?

Regarding the Alamo:

“When Jim Bowie’s mother was informed of his death, she very calmly announced: “I’ll wager no wounds were found in his back.”

Indeed.

189 defenders of the Alamo died this day 177 years ago. They took a full third of the attacking force with them”

Not a bad way, if you ask me. I’d rather go peacefully in my sleep, but if that isn’t in the cards, then I’d rather go following their example.

Ferryman’s fee and all that.

Teachers:

Some are great. Some have common sense.

Then there are the rest.

Like this one.

Sadly, the unions and the school board will likely keep this person on the school staff.

Alamo Day 3/6

The (my) weird schedule nearly made me miss the remembering the men (and women) of the Alamo.

3/6/1836.
The Alamo fell.
All of the defenders were killed.

They delayed Santa Anna long enough to let the  Sam Houston and the other defenders get their shit together at San Jacinto.

All of the defenders at the Alamo were killed. Not a good way to go. But if it has to happen to me, I hope I go out as bravely as they. And for as good a cause.

Robert has a good story line on his blog. You should read it.

I have been to the Alamo, once. It is a fairly small place, and yet it has a spirit….a sacredness that reflects the residue of the courage and determination the defenders showed in their fight. It is a place that you will never forget visiting.

It occurs to me

That a significant portion (more than 10%) of the monies needed to fix the “sequester” could be found if we would just stop wasting our money on “Security Theater”

Let us disband the TSA.

That saves something like 11 billion. At mo loss to anyone. No change in safety, and an increased throughput in the airports. Likely the productivity increase will add a LOT to our economy.

Add in the extra vehicular  purchases by DHS, and we are starting to talk real money.
