“The Stand”?

A vial containing a potentially harmful virus has gone missing from a laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch, officials said.
The missing vial, which contains less than a quarter of a teaspoon an infectious disease, had been stored in a locked freezer, designed to handle biological material safely, within the Galveston National Laboratory on UTMB’s campus, officials said. During a routine internal inspection last week, UTMB officials realized one vial of a virus called Guanarito was not accounted for at the facility. 

There is, of course, nothing to worry about.  No potential threat to the public or anything.

At least it isn’t gonna create Zombies or anything.

But were I Governor Hickenlooper, I’d remember the example set when his Director of Prisons apparently pissed off the wrong people/person enough that they chose to ignore the law.…

I don’t know Mr. Clements, nor do I (did I) wish him any ill. He likely didn’t deserve what happened to him.

Having said that, perhaps his example will be a lesson to other officials of government.

Hey, at least the Senate has shown SOME intelligence and not followed like lemmings in knee-jerk rection to a tragedy.

Taught a First Steps Pistol course today.

11 people who weren’t shooters. Now (hopefully) have the skills to begin to learn.

11 people…. who a year ago, many who even a few months ago, wouldn’t have considered taking the time to learn this skill.

At least 9 totally new shooters. 7 soon to be gun owners. 1 already owned one, but had never shot hers

Truly, it is a rewarding experience.

I don’t charge for my time, but sometimes after leaving the class range, I wonder if I should pay them for the happiness I feel.

And I swear, the more Obama and Feinstein talk, the more shooters they create.

Since the DNC and their adherents can’t seem to keep track of illegal aliens, and cannot keep them from crossing the border….

Just what makes them think that they will be able to track privately held and sold guns and and prevent people from smuggling them in to our country over that same border?

I mean, really.

Think it is safe because it is FDIC insured?

That is what the depositors at the banks in Cyprus thought..

But the government of Cyprus and the EU masters and the IMF thought they had a better idea….

The people may not have allowed the theft bailout to happen, but the fact that it was even considered should frighten you.

The DNC types have been eyeing all that saved money here in the US for a long time. The retirement accounts especially.

I cannot help but wonder where the next tragedy including a gun, a mental patient (likely a Democrat, is there a connection?), and a crowded gun free zone will occur.

Gotta have blood for them to dance in, and gotta have dead bystanders (preferably kids) in order to have something for them to DO SOMETHING.  Kinda hard on the victims, but someone has to be sacrificed for the Greater Good.

How are they gonna get a chance to remove the rest of your rights if they can’t get that pesky Second Amendment out of the way?

Malls and movie theaters didn’t get the people riled up enough, there apparently weren’t enough victims and apparently a school full of Childrenz didn’t do it either either….
