The Canary Islands have nearly no canaries on the islands, they are nearly extinct.  All the wild canaries are gone….The only canaries on the Canary Islands, with few exceptions, are domesticated and in captivity.

Apparently, the the same is true of the Virgin Islands:

No wild canaries there either.
