I guess the only real difference that we need to realize is that all those hurricane Helene victims don’t do any 35% kickbacks…..So they come second or third to other countries and Ukraine.  (I am not sure how much the actual kickbacks are, I have no verifiable information of the actual percentage. It might be zero, although I doubt that)

It is said (although I cannot confirm this) that Trump, however, has donated $25 Million in aid to those affected by Helene.

Metallica’s charity has donated $100K.

I donated a fair amount via Samaritan’s Purse.  (No matter what your faith, these people are very efficient and are good at helping people….. regardless of the name they give their god, or even if they do….If you are not sure where to donate, these folks should be on your short list)

Here in the Midwest, whenever there is a significant snowstorm forecast, it is tradition for everyone to buy supplies to make French Toast: The stores are denuded of Milk, eggs, butter and bread. No one knows why they should do so, they just follow the crowd…

I see similar patterns in Florida when there is a Hurricane forecast….apparently it is tradition that people drive their cars to a preset place and gather 8-10 sandbags.  Now, I am not sure what a few sandbags are good for…there are never enough to fully protect one’s home from flooding, it seems, but every single time there is a hurricane, they show people getting a few sandbags…about a trunk load….which isn’t really ever gonna be enough.. It ain’t gonna keep the water out of your house if there is feet of flooding, . (and they are predicting FEET of rain and 10 or more feet of storm surge  ….. . So those sandbags…Is it tradition or what?

You know, those crazy inconvenient truths…Like the fact that FEMA is out of money ’cause they spent a shitload of money allocated to them, like nearly 400 Million dollars, on housing and feeding and otherwise accommodating migrants…..

Now, that 400 million isn’t really a drop in the bucket compared to what they need for this current Helene cleanup, but still, the optics are bad….So the Media and the Biden administration are trying to cover it up….Quash those inconvenient facts.

I mean, on the one hand, the Media is showing us scenes of utter devastation in places like Asheville (but the reporters and camera crews don’t seem to go much beyond there, not out into the real hard-hit towns)…

But then they show us the places where volunteers are handing out food to people, people supposedly hard-hit by the storm….Yet those people are in their cars (that appear undamaged) and are well dressed and clean looking…..

I am confused. Are they really in need? Or are they just taking advantage of the freebies?

I have no doubt that there ARE people in need. I just don’t think those folks waiting in line in their cars for a hour (for someone else to load their trunk) are in that group of needy…..And I doubt that those people in need are in that Lowes parking lot (again, in Asheville)….(notice how the camera is placed to show the Logo??) are needy either.

ETA: And if you got time to spend an hour in line (or more) one would think you’d be cleaning up the damage…

It will likely come back in January, as the pay raise was not the only issue, but also staffing levels and use of automation. Especially if Trump should beat the Margin of Cheat.

No non-cleared/unauthorized flights in a 30 mile radius of the airport from basically dawn to dusk *by NOTAM (instead of TFR).

I checked with Flight Service to see if it was true or not.

There was, apparently, a broader area  Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) but that was cancelled

There are no other restriction elsewhere in the areas affected by Helene as per Flight Service

Turns out, they spent a shitload of FEMA money on illegal aliens last year and this year. 

I fully expect to find that they also spent it in Ukraine as well, if someone bothers to look….

Ukraine and illegals first, US citizens are at the bottom of the list.
