Yours and mine??

“It’s not his house. It’s your house. And he’s destroying it,”

Odd, innit. The White House is “Our” house… Locked behind gates and a fence (but “fences don’t work”)..

Yet thousands of people were prosecuted and punished for entering the Capitol, also “The people’s House”.

So which is it? Does the White House and other government buildings actually belong to us, or not?

If so, why are we barred from entering it/them?

Please, pick one or the other, this constant changing of rules is giving me a headache…

So…

Our “government” has been “shut down” for 3 weeks.  Has anyone (besides those folks whose paycheck depends on the funding of our government) noticed?  What “Government Services” have you needed and not gotten? Passports and such maybe? I haven’t (yet) been affected and no one that I know has been bothered in any way by the lack of “Non-Essential” Federal government…

We have “essential workers” who are forced to work without being paid….

and we have  “non-essential” worker who aren’t being paid right now but are also not working but who will be paid for not working once our Senators get over their spitegasm and sober up enough to work together and start to find a way to fund our government.

The question for the day is “why we are spending any money at all employing people who are not “essential”. “?? Not just during the “shutdown”, but at any time? If they aren’t “Essential” they why are we employing them at all? If after 3 weeks ho one noticed that they are not there, why are we giving them jobs?

Why do we have people wo are not essential to our lives, to our government, who can be laid off for weeks at a time with out anyone noticing? Why are we employing people doing jobs that we don’t need ….People and jobs that can be stopped at a whim without consequences for anyone….departments and workers whose entire job is meaningless and not “essential”? I

If they are “non-essential”, then why do we have them at all?

“Political Violence”

And they keep crying about it….Leftists trying to splash some of the blame on the Right when it is nearly all coming from the Leftists who shoot or injure people as a political statement.

.

Seldom is it a rightist who shoots people for a political cause, or who feels that it is okay to kill or injure someone or some group or organization that has opposing views.

Violence against others with different philosophies is almost entirely the domain of the Left….It isn’t the right. If it was, there’d be no doubt, and the carnage would be incredible. We have different standards of behavior that the Left….at least for now.

So since the judge says they can’t be used

to help out ICE in Chicago.

Are they gonna let the Texas National Guard members return home while the issue is adjudicated by higher courts?

I’m sure that the NatGuard boys and girls have better things to do than wait around in a warehouse 40 miles from Chicago waiting for the courts to get their thumbs out.

Where did all the money go when we sold it?

The Trump administration is dipping its toe—barely—into refilling the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), announcing plans to purchase one million barrels of crude for delivery in December and January. The move, while symbolically significant, amounts to little more than a rounding error in a reserve that once held 700 million barrels….

The Department of Energy will use $171 million from President Trump’s new tax and spending law to fund the purchase, issuing a solicitation for crude to be delivered to the Bayou Choctaw site in Louisiana.

Where did all the money go when Slow Joe sold our energy security to bring oil down in price to help ease the economic tension on the US voters so his party had a better chance in the Midterms?  That oil that was sold was paid for by the purchasers at market price, IIRC about $80 per barrel or so within 30 days….

Now Congress has to approve the funding for the repurchase of Crude oil? Where did that money that was generated when the SPR was sold off last time go?…. And why will it “take years” to do the Purchase? There are people ready and willing to deliver millions of barrels even at this low price….so why do we have to wait “years” to do so? (It shoulda been started the day after inauguration, IMO.

So with the Gubmint shutdown:

It is said that the SNAP food benefits will soon stop. I guess that the folks doing the administration of the program aren’t “Essential Workers”….

I cannot find it in me to see the bad part of this, as most SNAP (Food Stamps) folks live on them, not as a temporary measure, but as income used as part of their budget….but mostly they also have nicer cars, and can afford expensive purses and get their hair done every other week…..and they have money for smokes, beer and drugs….AND they go to ‘Food Banks” as well for additional food….and they can always seem to afford Starbucks or equivalent expensive coffee drinks and such. I have never seen a SNAP recipient that was “lean” or “skinny.”… Never seen one with calluses, either, come to think of it.

Not everyone is mooching, but a significant portion of the recipients are….

(and yes, I know that there are people, deserving people, who truly need SNAP and Food Pantries..but they are the minority)

But the representatives of the Pilsen Food Pantry  (whose workers posted on their webpage certainly are not representative of the community demographics) were on the CBS Chicago news saying that they expected even MORE people once SNAP goes away…and they will need even more donations to cope….

And “Food is a Human RIght”. she said.

Hah. Bullshit.

Looks like people are gonna have to make some hard choices:…..Food… or booze, Starbucks and fashion. Drugs and smokes plus losing weight. Maybe working to get enough money to eat….

I dunno.

Just think

Of all the time wasted by the “No Kingz” useful idiots…

If they had applied all that energy, time and resources to improving their community rather than protesting for a non existent cause they might have actually made a change for the better….

But that is Liberals in a nutshell, innit?

I am sure that most of them, however, are SURE that they Made A Difference yesterday.
