I mean, what we have here is a bunch of accusations and innuendo, with no context, carefully selected (and edited) video and audio and text snippets, not actual testimony in a trial, being put forth in accusation against a private individual, with no opportunity for rebuttal.

It’s character assassination at it’s finest. It isn’t a trial. Not by any definition. The excerpts were carefully edited for emotional and shock value….But no Smoking Gun in the ex-President’s hand. I find that telling. No actual charges against Donald Trump….just innuendo. This isn’t a legal proceeding, it is simply a show.

If they have enough to charge him, then they should do so. But simply assassinating his character without charges is cheap, tawdry, and wrong. Especially when aided and abetted by the Mainstream Media. The Media who obviously carefully coordinated and harmonized their message (at least CBS, NBC, and ABC did so). (Think of the advertising revenue that the Big Three forewent to help damage Trump!)

I found the presentation to carefully edited, with lots of emotional scenes to tug Liberal heartstrings, but little actual useful testimony. No facts, nothing that could lead to charges.

I expect that the Democrats and the “Never Trump” folks are really afraid of what is gonna happen in the midterms and in 2024, and this is designed and timed to help affect those.

I await the next “episode” to see if they have actual facts. So far, a waste of time.

Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself. The RNC should cease to support her.

Where is the Department of Justice in all of this? Why aren’t they presenting actual factual evidence?

Why I (or anyone else) should listen to, or care, what Matthew McConaughey thinks about gun violence? Why his opinion matters so much to the press?

He’s an actor, sorta. One who (for a while) women thought of as sexy and desirable,,,..and who then faded into obscurity.

Until there was a mass shooting by a troubled kid in his hometown.

He has exactly zero knowledge that is useful, and absolutely no authority….

But the media is pushing his face in front of us because he once lived in Uvalde.

So, because getting it will lower my (not insubstantial) insurance bill, I am going for my Commercial Pilot rating.

(Note that I have zero plans to fly for hire, simply learning more and (hopefully) saving money down the road.)

So I went up with an instructor to start the process….They had good reasons for wanting to use their cessna 172 over my plane, even though the rental cost is about my hourly cost to fly the 340.

Now, I have been flying a (fairly) powerful twin engine airplane…high performance, as it were., for the past year. It has been a bit over a year and a  half since I flew a single engine airplane. 3 or more since I flew a 172.

Lots of adjustment to be made.

So, I tended to fly the poor 172 Way Too Fast….approaches especially. Can’t land at those speeds (but those same speeds would cause the 340 to fall out of the sky). Plus my control was…lacking. Flared too high as well, but that is just because I am used to a plane that sits higher. Flap deployment speeds are much slower that I am used to as well. Gotta pay attention to that…..

But the speeds and the flare are gonna take some work to adjust to. I hope I can still fly the 340 after this.

Biden invokes Defense Production Act (wasn’t that for Domestic manufacturing in times of war???) for Solar Panels from other countries for the next 4 years…..

Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are gonna get special treatment….waiver of tariffs. and other considerations.

One wonders how much commission Hunter Biden will make on this deal. (10% for the Big Guy” and all that, remember?)

There is no war, so the use of the Defense Production Act is a joke and an abuse of power.

Reducing the price of imported Solar Panels is a great way to jump start production of those panels domestically, innit?
