City folks

A whole Brooklyn bar is terrorized when a possum wanders into a bar, (“So, this possum walks into a bar…..”)

And a lady from Alaska simply picked him up and took him outside.

Now she’s a hero in the bar.

All for taking charge of a frightened and lost animal.

And these folks think that when the Shit hits the Fan they are gonna take charge. And that they are superior to all those country folks.

Frightened by a 12 lb possum.

An odd discrepancy in the story

So the police in Uvalde used the excuse that they were unable to enter the school in order to secure and rescue the children from the gunman because they were unable to open the door.

Amother was initially handcuffed by the officers on-scene  (but not in the school) before getting released when somehow, she was  was able to enter the school and get her kids out. (why not take the rest of the class as well?)

IF she could get in why mot the cops?

Lots of discrepancies, but this is just one more.

Question:

Why is it that all the mass shootings (that we hear about, anyway,) are perpetuated with AR-style rifles exclusively? Why not AK or other style firearms? There are a lot of different types available, many even less expensive.

It seems odd that what with the abundance of other types of semi-automatic “Assault Weapon” types of rifles available that there would be others used nearly as much as AR-Types.

Unless, of course, they aren’t random mental health issue caused massacres, but rather incidents planned (and paid for) to specifically focus attention to the AR types.

Just sayin’

Thank you

You can’t hear this, but I and many of my fellow citizens still want to thank you for your sacrifice.

For all too many of the citizens of this country, this is just another long weekend holiday, but to some of us today is the day we, as a nation, take to remember your sacrifice for our freedoms and our country and our way of life.

So thank you.

It was irritating

Flying over the central Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, etc) hearing all the pilots wishing the controllers a “Happy Holiday” or “Happy Memorial Day”.

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, people, this isn’t Independence Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. It is a day to reflect on the sacrifices those who gave their lives in defense of our country made for us.

I chose not to be an asshole and remind everyone of that on the ATC frequencies, but it was difficult. (Not being an asshole is difficult enough for me most days…., with Provocation, I should get a medal for what I don’t say)
