So I went back yesterday to the Tuesday morning old boys shooting club at the range. I hadn’t ben there in the weeks leading up to the surgery and for a while afterwards. But you gotta keep on if yer gonna keep up, and like flying, shooting is a perishable skill.

Took the non-Ruger 10-22 “Vera” and a rest and a sandbag. Sitting, standing or kneeling. I did sitting ’cause I am not yet fully healed.

Today was a challenge. Firstly 10 rounds in a 3/8 square at 50 feet (indoor). Inside the square counts. Touching the line counts. Cutting the line is a miss.   Not that hard, but there were 10 squares. I went 91. This is with a scoped rifle.

Second Round was “Strike Anywhere” matches…again at 50 feet….. lighting the match counts. A flare counts. Broken match does not, even if it lights.10 shots done twice. I went 2 for 10 twice, which isn’t as good as I can do but not bad for not shooting for a month. I felt pretty good about my shooting.

Of course, Frank did 6 for 10 with a frikkin pistol. But he shoots more in a week than I do in a month, so there’s that.

All told it was fun to dip my toe back into the precision paper punching routine. As I heal, I think I can get back to my regular level of accuracy which just ain’t there right now. I gotta get my musculature back to steady up. It’s the shakes that are killing my accuracy

And the Republicans say “Dead on Arrival”.

I’ll go 7:3 that the funding for Ukraine, Israel and other countries survives. Especially Ukraine….That the Border will not be closed, and that there will continue to be a flood of illegals crossing the border who will  be allowed to remain for years, if not forever, but there will indeed be more money spent on immigration, (just not closing the border).

I fully expect that the Republicans will once again demonstrate that they are spineless and do not care if their actions represent the people who voted for them, and that they will roll over and give the Democrats what they want.

I see that Joe thinks the same way as I do….Great minds think alike (Or run in the same gutter, depends on your viewpoint)

Don’t try to mix it all together. Don’t Fund Ukraine or any other country on the back of the taxpayer, don’t mix that with the border.

Close the fucking border to anyone….Mexicans, Chinese, or any other illegal.

Make ’em wait in Mexico or wherever until the current backlog of “immigrants” applying for asylum have had their cases adjudicated (and sent back if need be).

In the meantime, explain why Israel needs our money, or Ukraine, or Taiwan. All have a great deal of commerce, all have great economies (eve Ukraine) and can pay their own way. Taiwan and Israel have BOOMING economies. Ukraine sells a huge amount of gas and other petroleum products. What are they giving us in return for our deficit dollars?

But stop this bullshit on these giant fully inclusive bills. All this is is political theater and a delaying tactic to keep the southern border open allowing ever more invaders in without any filters. If you believe that the can’t close the border in a day, then you are an idiot. Neither side wants to do so.

Dixmoor, a Shithole suburb of Chicago, has had water infrastructure issues for over 30 years. They blame, of course, the old water pipes that whites left behind when they moved out 50+ years ago when the blacks moved in….and insist that the Federal Government must help pay for the repairs (replacing 100 year old water mains, filtration systems, etc). These failures are, after all, the fault of the previous owners from 50 years ago…

It couldn’t be that the democrat run government never made sure that their finances were in order to allow maintenance and replacement of the pipes and equipment (that, oddly, worked just fine for over 20 years after the democrat/black government took over.)… It couldn’t be a complete lack of maintenance for 20+ years or that a replacement plan for ageing infrastructure wasn’t ever implemented…or even that the water rates were so low (they bragged about how low their rates were) that there was never any money put aside for replacement of the infrastructure. ..Or that the operators and managers were put in place based on race/tribe rather than competency, leading to failures in maintenance and operation that damaged the water mains and filtration equipment with bad decision making caused by incompetence and lack of operator experience and training.

So now they are declaring an “emergency” hoping the Feds or the State will help.

But now, of course, it is the fault of the white men that left working infrastructure behind all those years ago……and the black run government is crying that they need the Federal government (or SOMEBODY) to pay to fix the system they have damaged with incompetence……’cause they certainly can’t do it themselves, both because they don’t know how and because they have spent the money for repairs on other things…

Life is a bitch when you are so short sighted that you can’t plan for the future.

Sadly, the rest of the state’s citizens will end up paying to bail out the short-sighted policies of the black/Democrat run local government. Me? If I had control every household would pay an assesment and the city would pledge the rest, with appropriate collateral, before they’d get a dime…..and it’d be as a loan, rather than a grant.

Of ever convincing me to vote for her (Not that I was a big fan of her anyway)

I mean, if Nikki Haley is being promoted by the folks at Saturday Night Live, then I certainly don’t want to have her as a presidential candidate…..

Biden “won” his first primary. Nearly 97% (against two other people no one had ever heard of)

Must have been some of those 83 million voters from last election, I reckon.

So I was returning some stuff at a Home Depot Friday afternoon and the young lady taking care of me commented on how warm and sunny it was outside….Warmer than she ever remembered.

“Must be global warming” she said.

“Actually, believe it or not, but the last 14 days haven’t even set a record”. Says I.

“you are serious, aren’t you?” she says, looking me in the eye.

“yep” I said. “But don’t believe me…. Pull out your phone and check. I’ll wait”

She did. It took her a few minutes. I waited.

This isn’t even close to a record, which is over 28 degrees warmer.  1930’s

She admitted that she was shocked.

“I always believed what they say about Global Warming. ” she says

“Never believe, Verify” says I.

“Yer good until they start changing the record so they can lie to you more easily. But the government and the media tell you things that just aren’t true. Never trust them”

I think I made her think a bit.

A bit of minor violence to happen somewhere near Del Rio/Eagle Pas Texas sometime soon….

The media is treating the Truckers Protest as (presumptive) criminals. Already painting them as purveyors of violence and acting as if they will do something more than protest.

They are reporting them in the same manner as they painted the Jan 6th protestors, both before and after the actual protest.

They are highlighting the fears of the locals about violent protest, even though there are no reasons to believe that these are anything but people wanting to make themselves heard…much like the folks on Jan 6th.

And lets face it, it is a protest with no clearly defined goals, the kind that attracts exactly the folks that the FBI/ATF can easily manipulate into following if there is a charismatic leader….(Ray Epps: Call your office please)

But the battlespace is being prepared in the media .Portraying these protestors as violent dangerous criminals.

Expect a bad result. The professional media spin teams are now at work, along with the FBI folks that infiltrated the Jan 6th crowd. I fully expect that event will play out in a planned manner, much like they did at the Capitol Building….

I’d expect a Ray Epps type (or more than one) is there already with a master plan.
