That today was the start of “Operation Iceberg”….the start of the Battle for Okinawa.

Just take a minute to reflect on the fact that we can laugh, and joke and prank each other today, but for some back then, it was a different story.

Johns father was lucky…he was only wounded. But he remembers….So should we.
