No measles in this country.

And then, of course, we had Covid. Yes, prior to that there was an anti-vaccination subset of the population, and there were people who felt they had real, reasonable fears for their children’s health and chose not to get their kids vaccinated. But there were, effectively no cases of Measles in this country. Less than a thousand cases per year, about three-quarters of those visitors from another country.

Then, as I said, came Covid. Now, honestly, if  today you trust most of the folks supplying “Health Care” in this country, you are a fool. Perhaps that was always the case, but it came to the forefront when Covid reared it’s ugly (and overblown) head. Not only did we shut down the country for what was, essentially a severe case of Influenza, but we also injected unknown and untried “Vaccines” into about 70% of our countries citizens. We forced it on most of our “Healthcare” workers, forced it on our military, forced it on many workers who were given a choice: Lose your job and all you worked for, or take the jab. The CDC lied to us, the doctors and nurses repeated the lie, and followed the CDC recommendations unthinkingly.

Now, of course, 4 or so years later, many children have not been vaccinated for anything, or are only vaccinated for the absolute minimum that their parents can get away with. Many people no longer trust even childhood vaccinations. Not a fringe percentage, but almost 20% of parents.

Add in the fact that there are over 4 million unvaccinated (for anything, Covid or otherwise), unquarantined third world people brought into the country in the past 12 months, spread out over many areas….is it any wonder that we have a “sudden” and “Unprecedented” outbreak of Measles? All the outbreaks are centered on “Sanctuary Cities” and “Migrant Shelters”, BTW…

It is expected that there will be well over 350 cases by the end of the month, especially in the southwest.

Yet I would hesitate even today to get vaccinated for Measles (or, honestly, anything else), as I no longer trust the disease prevention portion of our medical establishment. I don’t trust them because they have lied to us, twisted statistics to demonstrate that Covid was more dangerous than it has been shown to be, lied about the efficacy of the Covid “vaccine”(it isn’t a vaccine as it was defined even 6 years ago and doesn’t seem to work all that well) and lied about the safety of the Covid Jab. Honestly, I’d not trust most health care workers to not also inject me or my kids with the Covid jab as well as a measles vaccine. Nor would I trust that vaccine to contain only the Measles (or MMR) vaccine and nothing else, even if the doctors and nurses could be trusted.  (I don’t think that the “real” vaccine that I got 50+ years ago is still protecting me today…..But I won’t get another one)

Expect a great big outbreak of Measles soon, especially in larger cities where there are a high number of illegal migrants settled. Remember that it is spread the same way as Covid (as most diseases are) and that 3 in 1000 who get it die from it….. 20% of adults need hospitalization. Blindness, hearing loss, stillbirths….brought to you by the Biden administration.

Is this the next “covid”? Will it be used like covid was to change the way we vote so that the votes were more easily manipulated? Will we have restrictions and issues with living our lives the same way we had for Covid?

Remember, this disease was brought into the country using illegal border crossers as the vector, aided and abetted by the Border Control officers who were “Just Following Orders” from Joe Biden. It could have been prevented…..but it wasn’t

Why is it that we allow our lawmakers to lie so much in the bills they present as good for us?

So the Germans, in their infinite wisdom, are cutting down a forest (and an ancient one, at that) to make way for a Wind Farm.

Years ago, visitors to the forest were not allowed to even camp there because it was a “sensitive and vulnerable” area”.

Now, of course, it is OK to clear cut because wind energy for 15 years or so trumps hundred year (or more) old forest.

Note that the orivinal plan was to simply [place the turbine bases in areas that were already clearings, but that soon fell by the wayside as getting the power out of those areas was too expensive.

Clearcutting is much cheaper as all the turbines are closer together that way, less expense for power lines.

Had someone ask if it really is hard to fly in the clouds.

The answer is both yes, and no.

Yes, it is, if you have no instruments, or do have instruments but not the knowledge on how to use them.

There are no outside (or “Down” ) references. It’s like driving in a car with the windows painted grey. (Only in three dimensions).  Try having someone drive you around blindfolded and then try to determine north, or how fast you are going, or even level. It’s worse in an airplane. You can think you are in a  turn when you are not and try to correct for that, or think you are level when you are climbing (or descending)….you can think you are in a dive when you are in fact level…and try to correct for that dive which leads to a climb and then a stall. What you think is “down: may not be….

Like being blindfolded at a party and spun around and told to walk,…

Instruments can give you the references you need, but you gotta train yourself (get trained) to use ’em, believe in them, and act according to the information they give you. But it is like learning to walk again during that training. Your body likes to get a lot of information from your inner ear and other sense organs, but those can be fooled….so you use your eyes on your instruments to learn to fly according to the information that they give you and to ignore your inner ear and such.

You can easily kill yourself, your passengers, your airplane, and people on the ground if you fly without a visual reference while unable to process the information your instruments give you…. There’s a reason that the FAA requires “currency”….essentially practice. so you can fly on those instruments.

But once you learn, it isn’t hard, just different.

Flying an approach to a runway in the clouds is another level of difficulty, but that too just takes practice.

Five people were killed and several injured after a parachute landing a humanitarian airdrop failed to open, bringing a pallet crashing down into a crowd of people waiting for food north of Gaza City’s Shati refugee camp.

All the media is very carefully not saying which country was doing the airdrop when the defective parachute allowed the pallet of food to crash into the ground.

Pretty much everyone wonders what cocktail of stimulants and such was running through his veins last night. And how much more slurring of his words was gonna happen had they not delayed his entrance for timing so he could finish and get off stage before he blew up.

Give him credit, it was a valiant effort by Sleepy Joe.

Apparently it is gonna be a temporary floating pier. Technology that has been in use for decades, so not that big of a challenge engineering-wise. The Navy (and the Corps of Engineers)knows how to build those, even under fire. The harder part is keeping it safe

The issues I see are several-fold. Who is gonna do security at the point where it touches the land in Gaza? Israel? Egypt? The “UN” (hah!)?

Secondly, who is gonna provide cover for those ships, be they US Navy or private cargo, while they are unloading? Hamas has a thing with pipe and fertilizer rockets that are, actually, somewhat accurate. A ship in port, half unloaded, is a big fat target, as it the floating pier itself. Whoever is providing security is gonna have to deal with the fact that Hamas likes to shoot those rockets from apartment building and hospital roofs and parking lots and such. What’s gonna happen when, in suppressing Hamas rocket fire, the defenders of the port…either the US warships, the Israeli army or the Egyptians, kill a bunch of “innocent” “palestinian civilians”?

Thirdly, who is gonna provide inspections. We all know that someone will try to smuggle more weapons and ammunition in those truckloads of “aid”  Do you really think that Hamas and their ilk will not try to use the “aid” shipments as a conduit? I mean, we all know how honorable these people are, right? Who is gonna check those ‘Aid” shipments?

And do you really think that at some point, a Hamas “fighter” isn’t gonna detonate a truck on the pier itself?  Unless you are gonna provide drivers (and trucks that you will never recover) from the ships to the land, there will have to be “locals” and local trucks or trailers moving on that pier….

What’s gonna happen when the American servicemen at the gate to the pier are forced to shoot to keep someone from Gaza away from that gate? Then what? Or a truck bomb goes off at the gate?

This scheme is fraught with danger…..gonna get American servicemen killed, one way or the other.

And then we will be in that “war:.

There is NOTHING in Gaza that is worth brining the US into that mess.
