Dramatic footage shows thousands of migrants lining the train tracks in Mexico three hours from the southern border, hoping to catch a ride to the US line.

The Mexican authorities HAVE to be complicit in this invasion. There is no way that all these people can move across the country of Mexico without having stops for food and hygiene. Without having some sort of transportation.

Shut that off and the flow stops.

But they are allowing it, if not aiding it.

I guess the money Soros is reportedly spreading around is enough to buy a lot of Mexican Government Officials (an, apparently, lots of Us officials too)

I think I translated that correctly. You decide for yourself.

So I did some rearranging of the panel on the 340…when I bought it, the left (pilot) seat had an Aspen AND a Garmin 275….as well as standard 6 pack analog flight instruments…..but the right seat had only a vacuum horizon…no other flight instruments…no airspeed, no altimeter (No, I don’t know why).  The 275 was kinda redundant on the pilot’s side and the lack of instruments on the other was kinda an issue.

The Aspen on the pilot’s side had a bad switch, and it was gonna cost to have it repaired (they have a single price for repairs).

I had bought a pair of used Aspens (and a whole bunch of other stuff) from a guy who had redone his panel to all Garnin displays for $300 for the lot, *gauges, instruments, switches, Autopilot servos, all of it), and so I had a shop send one the of the Aspens off for the full 1000 Max upgrade (not much more that the repair price on the other, older one) and had them install that where the other older Aspen was, and move the 275 over to the right side of the panel and the vacuum horizon to where the 275 was….making the copilot have at least a decent (if small) set of flight instruments right in front of him/her …

But when we did that, the autopilot wasn’t quite right. We tried fixing it remotely, with him telling me what buttons to push via FaceTime, but no joy….so I took it back to the shop. Flew from Indiana to KFCM Tuesday morning…..

What a debacle. Firstly Clearance couldn’t find my IFR flight plan, then after they filed it for me, they flew me south for 30 miles before turning me back north (apparently for traffic flow into Midway),,,but then I had to contend with 60 knot headwinds…which made for a slow groundspeed. I ended up being an hour late…despite running the engines hard to make as much speed as possible. the winds didn’t change much from 16,000 ft to 6,000 ft,,,just a bitch of a headwind.

The lights on the ground sure do make for a pretty sight in the predawn darkness though. Here is looking north towards Chicago from the south at 7,000 feet, just off of the Gary airport (KGYY)

The good news is that with a bit of factory consultation, the avionics guys were able to get the configuration correct…so then a quick (40 minute) test flight and I got home the same day, Of course, this time, (for once!) I actually got that same wind…only this time as a tailwind, which made for a short flight back. 2:48 up and 1:22 back. Now the autopilot holds altitude and heading (and will take steering from the GTN750) the way it should…,…It makes flying sorta boring though…. But less stressful and less tiring than hand flying for hours and hours. It is amazing how much task unloading an autopilot does.

I’m also getting the engine settings dialed in with the new engines. Oddly the fuel flow numbers are quite different than the old engines. Now that I have a properly working autopilot I can work of dialing those numbers in even more.

So that’s 4:50 seat time and 3 landings in the book. 183 gallons of 100LL out the tailpipe.

GOP senator says Republicans won’t budge on Ukraine without border action

Of course, they will fold on the border…as they have so often in the past. It is what the GOP does, really.

But the issue of any further aid to Ukraine should be off the table entirely. None, zero, nada. No more aid. They have spent all the money we gave them…..in ways that are, apparently, unaccountable. No one really knows where the money went. They are, at best, an ally of the US……maybe. The trickle of aid from other countries, tokens at best, show what the rest of Europe thinks of their plight.  The fact that Ukraine blew through over a  a Hundred Billion Dollars in less than a year tells me that the money isn’t going to fight the war, at least not most of it.

Is it going to the pockets of other people? I suspect so, but have no idea, really.

But now they want more, Biden and Zelensky are asking for another 61 Billion dollars. For what? Where will this money go? Who will receive the money and what will it buy (besides a few senators and their families, perhaps? )

I agree with the idea of Not one DIme for Ukraine until the border is secured and the invasion via the South is stopped….. as a lever….but start at Not one Thin Dime for Ukraine at all. Not another cent for them until the monies already given are accounted for….and then still no more money. Stop ALL foreign aid until the border is secure….including aid to Israel. Let THAT be the lever for border security for the US….BUt NO MORE AID TO UKRAINE.

If there is anything that goes against the concept of a free citizen in America, Civil Asset Forfeiture is one of those things.

H.R.1525 – FAIR Act of 2023

This time, it has a chance of getting out of committee for a vote. Let’s make sure that that happens.

You may or may not know that many people lose millions over 1.3 Billion dollars every year to “Civil Asset Forfeiture”, where federal or other law enforcement searched a person for some reason (say, a traffic stop, or at an airport) and finds a sum of cash on your person or otherwise in your possession. In many instances, they assume it is money from the proceeds of a crime (without any evidence to sustain that “suspicion”) and confiscate it….without charging the person with a crime…..In other words, the law enforcement personnel steal the money and force you to sue them to get it back, often with help from federal prosecutors. You get fined without the benefit of a hearing before a judge or a jury of your peers. (Seems unconstitutional and illegal, right?)

Now, you gotta realize that the whole concept of “Innocent until proven guilty” goes out the window in such instances….They DO NOT charge the individual with a crime, they simply take the money (because if you weren’t up to no good why would you carry $10,000 or more in CASH?) and let you sue them to recover it….You have to prove that YOUR money is Yours, and was obtained or earned legally…without any proof to the contrary. The officer gets to judge.  Despite the fact that carrying cash inside the borders of the United States in not illegal, the presumption is that if you are carrying a sum of cash that the officer finds to be “suspicious” then he has the right to confiscate it, even with no proof that a crime has been committed (or will be committed).

This bill would make such confiscation without proof (or reasonable articulable suspicion) illegal.

Please, email, call, write, telegram, whatever but get your US representative to get behind this and make sure it gets out of committee and goes to the floor for a vote.

Much like the schoolyard bully, cannot really do much against targets that have the capability, equipment, and training to fight back, or even pursue them….

It’s easy to terrorize unarmed civilians, be they residents of Gaza (there is no such thing as a “Palestinian”) or unarmed Israelis. It appears that when faced with real soldiers the Hamas folks fold like straw men.

Apparently they are getting their asses kicked on their own turf….But that’s Syrians (Which is the stock from whence came “Palestinians”) in general….all bluster when they hold the upper hand, but they fold quickly when pressed.

And so many folks said we were “Conspiracy Theorists”…labeled us as crazy and paranoid when we said that there was a bunch of “Experts” saying what they were supposed to say….when we said that they were lying.

But those of us who suggested that were Xenophobic and biased against the Chinese when we suggested that maybe (just maybe) the Chinese might be lying about where the Covid came from….(Hint: T’wasn’t bats from a hundred miles away sold in a “Wet Market” just blocks from the lab…)

Anyone who spread Fauchi’s lies (and those of the governments, both Chinese and the US) should be jailed…They lied to the American People, likely for gain. Helped spread the disease by not shutting the borders, stopping air travel, by aiding and abetting the spread of the disease.

And slowly, a trickle at a time, the truth is coming out.
