Poverty is a state of mind. Failure to figure out what prosperity is and failure to implement it. Generally caused, at least in part, by short term thinking.

But Denver is gonna try to fix that by giving money to poor people to see what happens. Kinda-Sorta a limited Universal Basic Income.

Denver is set to provide 140 homeless people with $12,000 in no-strings-attached cash to see if it lifts them out of destitution

This will fail for the same reason that Free Schools failed, that Welfare failed, that Free Healthcare failed…..That all government programs to help the poor and poverty stricken failed….. People who are poor (generally, there are exceptions) are poor because of their mindset. Because of the culture they were raised in….because they cannot succeed with the morals and values that they were taught…..Because their parents never taught them how to get ahead…..Never how to plan for the future.

Is poverty a self perpetuating cycle? Mostly, yes. And I expect that the Denver experiment will fail.

So when Texas Governor Abbot or Ron DeSantis from Florida moves Illegal entrants to the United States (I.E: Border Crossers) from Texas or Florida to a “Blue” enclave like New York or Washington DC or (HEH) to Martha’s Vineyard, then they are “Committing Crimes Against Humanity”…

But when the Biden administration ,who has been flying groups of Illegal Border Crossers from the southern border to cities all across the US….. Well, that is OK.in fact it is a Good Thing because those people need a place to stay….

Funny how the standards change, innit? Especially in political speeches or the Media (But I repeat myself). Joe and his people wanted to spread as many illegals into small towns and small(er) cities for the Blue Collar folks to feed and house….often with no notice …..(and so they would eventually become citizens (maybe) and vote Blue….and the media and the Pundits and the Politicians say it is good (if they even acknowledge it at all)….But when the folks on the Right do a similar thing and put the illegals in New York or Chicago or DC, then they create a “Humanitarian Crisis” and are being just plain mean…..

Funny how that works. Innit? Double standards. And Abbott and DeSantis are exposing their hypocrisy.

Note that the Community Foundation has over $14 MILLION DOLLARS in assets.

But the Illegals have nearly nothing.

All those signs saying “We Welcome immigrants”…untrue. Greedy folks who can’t even share the donated money. Telling, innit?

‘Tis said that your deeds define your character. I think the folks in Martha’s Vineyard have defined their character well.

Seems that, despite the claims, the people of Martha’s Vineyard didn’t really WELCOME “Immigrants” (in reality, illegal alien invaders) to their community…..they packed ’em up and sent ’em to Cape Cod to be someone else’s problem.

The reality is that few people want these illegals in their community….they feel sorry for them, and want to help them, but they don’t want outsiders, especially poor outsiders living amongst them.

Abbot and DeSantis’s plan is working: a few thousand illegals in a community like New York or Chicago or 40 or so in an affluent place like Martha’s Vineyard causes a great deal of huhu, and overwhelms the community…., whereas De Rio,Texas gets THOUSANDS PER DAY . But that is far removed from the bigger cities up north so it doesn’t matter…until the problem is (partially) brought to those communities.

People in Del Rio and the surrounding areas (I know people there) say that anything not STRONGLY secured is stolen, and the illegals are to blame for litter, filth, disease and theft.

All this because Biden won’t make ’em remain outside the borders until their case for immigration is adjudicated.

Imagine what THOUSANDS of illegals per day will do to your community.

But the reactions show the hypocrisy of the Liberals…not that that is a surprise to anyone .

At least those agents who were trying to find and dig up dirt on President Trump, we find out that they are as sleazy as they claim Trump to be.

He FLIES illegals to Martha’s Vineyard. Most were reportedly from Venezuela.

Reports are that the residents are less than happy. But they did have all those signs saying “Immigrants Welcome”, so there it is…..

Having laughed at the folks living in Martha’s Vineyard, I am told that they quickly stepped up, finding a place for the transported illegals to (temporarily) stay, a place to shower and sleep and fed them well. No disposition as to whether they are gonna be able to stay on the island though. IF the residents REALLY welcome migrants, they will find ’em houses and jobs and integrate them into the local schools. My money is on the migrants being quietly moved Somewhere Else though…

So Both Chicago and New York are getting a few hundred illegal border crossers a day, bussed by Texas and New Mexico to the cities.

After all, they proclaim to be “Sanctuary Cities”…right?

I think Abbot’s strategy is BRILLIANT. Share the Pain, Make sure that those folks who so decry the border policies are not insulated by distance from the border. Let them have some of the burden.

How people make a Big Statement on their blog or facebook page and then get all butthurt when someone calls them out on their stupidity.

If yer gonna pontificate, expect the heat. Or just don’t say anything.

I’m not a Brit, nor do I have a King or Queen as my leader.

But I just cannot see the thought process where I would ever wait for days to keep a spot so I could glimpse the box that contains the earthly remains of my Sovereign for a few seconds as the funeral cortege passed by.

I just cannot understand that mindset, nor the motivation.
