ETA: 7:27AM  4/5/23 Please understand, I say this only because of how this has been handled…..It is OBVIOUSLY political….If charges had been laid by the previous prosecutor, years ago (he declined) or even just after the current prosecutor had taken office….if this was not just the latest attempt in a long series of attempts to silence Trump, one after the other as previous attempts failed, I might feel differently. But that is not the case. They keep hammering at him to silence him. 

Having said that, I really hope that the RNC can come up with a viable candidate to beat Trump in the primaries and who the American people can get behind for the next election….and who can win.

But anyone who thinks that this in not politically motivated, banana republic stuff is ether lying ’cause they want Trump to go a way at any cost (and the cost, really, is HUGE) or is simply stupid.

At this point, we are one step from political assassination as a legitimate tactic. I mean, we’ve stopped bothering to pretend we are a civilized nation anymore….What once were rules of decency have been tossed aside to political expediency. All for short term (maybe) political power.

We have destroyed the belief (or allowed it to happen, anyway) in the integrity of our voting system. No one with two working neurons trusts our ballots to be collected, counted tallied and reported truthfully and lawfully. No one believes that their vote really counts, Democrat, Republican, Liberal or Conservative.

And now….

We have retired the limits of decency. Allowed political persecution under the guise of law.

Shame on those doing this. If charging him were valid, they’d have done it much sooner. This is grandstanding, political theater, and an attempt to damage a feared and effective opposing candidate. Other prosecutors chose not to pursue such charges….only an aspiring prosecutor attempting to make a name for himself at the bidding of those who hate Trump.

In doing so, he has severely added to the damage to out country first started by the folks who broke our election system,…aided and supported by a Liberal Media.

Those people feel jubilation today…. If they had any integrity, they’d feel shame.

Woke Light?

So a beer company decided (no doubt the marketing people are Woke and wanting to show everyone just How Woke they were) to do a publicity stunt and feature a Trans Woman….(dude that wants to be a chick) on a specially printed can of Bud Light.

Now, the backlash was fairly large….Most of their customers are men…..I’d bet 99% straight men…. and few straight men really care for Fake men. They likely don’t care that much, but shove it in their face and they will be repulsed. If your beer brand supports them….not just accepts, but Fetes them, then guess what?

And so it goes. Lots of beer brands. Lots of low(er) calorie beer brands. Direct replacements for your brand.

And it appears that the customers weren’t amused. Sales of Bud Light have plummeted. Whoever came up with the symbolic trans can idea should be….canned.

How is it that less than 1% of the population makes such a difference in marketing decisions?

Apparently, Trump is surging n the polls.

I don’t care. He isn’t my favorite. I don’t have a favorite. When the time come for the choice to be made I will choose the best candidate from among the (likely poor) choices presented to me (or failing a “Best” candidate, the Least Bad one).

Just ’cause Donnie is getting the shaft from a (likely) Soros led charge to damage him in the eyes of his likely voters is not a reason to suddenly support him for President. Having said that, the politically fed persecution is starting to irritate me greatly. Until all the other attempts had failed this case was a non-starter even for democrats that hated Trump.

At the end of it, those who hated him still hate him. Those who supported him still support him. The rest of us wait. Few minds will be changed.

Either you are an adult at 18 or you aren’t. Pick one.

IF you can sign contracts at the age of 18, join the military at that age, get married without parental consent, vote at 18, etc. then that is the age that the law says you are a functioning adult.

Therefore, you should be able to buy beer, wine and sprits at that age, purchase (and carry) a handgun at that age, and in all ways enjoy the rights and privileges of being an adult. No other ages for certain things like buying booze and carrying  a handgun. Either you are an adult at 18, or you aren’t. Choose one.

If not, then you should be kept as a legal child until age 21 or whatever age it is that these things become legal for young adults.  I have no real objection if the law should be changed to 21, or some other (reasonable) age, as long as ALL the rights, responsibilities, and privileges convey at that same time. One age for adulthood.

Watching the Talking Heads this morning opine on the Trump indictment.

None of them knew what the indictment actually said, so everything was speculation (and hope and glee in they eyes of the Blue side).  Both sides spoke at length, but it meant nothing. Just words.

At the end of it, they, none of them, could say anything substantive. Neither side could do more than speculate.

They just don’t know.

Look: I am not a fan of TheDonald. Prolly won’t vote for him again. (Only voted for him last time as the lesser of the two weasels) I’d much prefer if the RNC folks found someone that is actually worth supporting….Rather than an ineffective ex-New York (democrat) Businessman who didn’t get the job done due to lack of support from the RNC and our legislators)

But I have questions: When are they gonna stop the persecution? Do they really think that this will keep him from running (and/or winning?) (I mean, it is doubtful that they can make the whole vote “irregularities” thing work again….(Even though Joe got more votes than any other Candidate in History or something”)…so they gotta find another way, I guess..

How come William Jefferson Clinton’s hush money legal settlement to Paula Jones was legal and Donnie’s payment to some porn star wasn’t?

Next thing it will be a slew of “Conspiracy” charges….. Those always work, for a while

Is it true that they fear him so much that they won’t stop charging him until he stops running?

It was funny watching the Talking Heads on the Media wet their panties telling us about his indictment though. Didn’t even bother to hide their glee at the thought of him being handcuffed and perp-walked. So much for impartial news…..

Here in the US, the folks who don’t pay their heat bill are excused during winter months, (at least on public utilities) and then, if they are a Privileged Race, they get the bill excused. (at least in Blue cities)….If you are rural and use propane, then yer fucked.

I don’t know how long, exactly, it took them to respond to the school, but once they got there, they didn’t hesitate….rather they did what they are paid to do. (you can find it on Youtube and about a thousand other websites)

They put themselves in harms way to protect the citizens (and children) of the community. They were smart about it, and they followed their training…..But..

THEY DID NOT HESITATE.

And for that reason, they are indeed heroes.

Much more so than the cowards in Uvalde. All of the police that didn’t respond that day.
