“German Chancellor Merkel, who is presently deciding whether to run 
for a historic fourth term on the strength of her pro-migrant policies
which have seen her lauded with praise by President Obama, moved 
to address populism in her joint address.


Calling the surge of interest in right-wing politics a “wave” that “engulfs 
us,” Ms. Merkel noted the sentiment “seems to come from the United 
States,” but in an oblique reference to President-Elect Donald Trump 
said it was an issue she was dealing with in Europe, too. 


She said: “Look at the European parliament. There are a lot of people 
who are looking for simplistic solutions and are preaching simplistic 
solutions which are very unfriendly policies. We have them here 
in Europe, too, we have them in Germany too.”


Apparently blaming this rising populism — politics that are popular 
with voters — on the internet, the German chancellor implied
the internet would have to be subject to restrictive censorship laws 
as were enacted by many European nations to stem the disruptive effect 
of the printing press.,…….”

Be afraid, They are out to control what you hear, see, and read in an attempt to control what you think.

They almost had us in the 70’s and 80’s….they controlled the press and the radio (mostly) and the TV…. and therefore the information….Until the rise of the internet in the 90’s.

Now, they want to fix that too….

Yeah, you. The Muslim person….The Hispanic ….The Black dude (or woman).

You claim (or the Media claims, anyway) that you are afraid (of something) because Trump was elected as our next president.

You (or the media claims) are afraid of racism. Because (or so the Media claims) Trump was elected by racist white people.

Well, first of all, It is White people who are the majority in this country. Had we elected Hillary Clinton (A white woman) there would still have been a majority of white people voting to elect her. Where, exactly, is the racism?

Second, if we were all so racist, we’d not put up with your antics.

Muslim threats muslim attacks…self radicalized, etc…..Muslim attempts to change our society to suit your religious and cultural lifestyle would have long since engendered violence. But somehow, it hasn’t. We ARE growing tired of it, but we aren’t doing anything, and haven’t.

Hispanics…..The press tells us that you claim you are afraid….of what, exactly, they don’t tell us….But afraid, nonetheless….. Here is the thing….if we, as the majority of the people in this country…yes, us whites,…If we were inclined to do violence, or to somehow oppress you, we could easily have done so in the recent past….but we haven’t. We have put up with your support of people that are illegal immigrants over those who are legal and welcomed immigrants. (You support race over country, which I personally find offensive) yet we haven’t terrorized you or harmed you, or done anything to you.

And you black people. We haven’t done anything to you. We could, but we don’t, because we are (generally) decent people. W e haven’t killed or lynched anyone, not even those “Black Lives Matter” folks that threaten us and insult us and riot and break things and stop traffic and such. Who state on video that they want to kill or harm White people. Who is the racist there?

See, all of you. your forget one thing. We are decent law abiding citizens. We obey the law. We don’t kill people, we don’t lynch people, we don’t do any of the things the press implies (but doesn’t say) you are afraid of.

We could….But we don’t. Never forget, we are the majority, and many of us are armed….And know how to say “hello” from hundreds of yards away. We also own pistols for close work, and we practice….We don’t spray bullets from a car in drive by shootings and hit innocents. We hit where we aim. I figure about 3 weeks, realistically.

But if we haven’t done anything by now, then you can rest assured that until you up your game and piss us off a great deal more, you are probably safe. Unlike you, we see that there are lots of folks  who aren’t looking for trouble. Oddly enough, we can see past the filter of race and culture and can see the individual. You are the ones grouping by race, not us.

But rest assured, if we should decide to do so, we could choose to finish the job the press claims we want to do. Since we are decent people, we won’t.

The NRA was born.

I am proud to be carrying on the traditions as an NRA instructor.

If nothing else, the NRA frightens many Senators and Congressmen enough to be cautious in what gun related legislation they pass.

And it is pretty far out there, even for Slate.

The sad part is that a large number of Muslims and Hispanics and a greater percentage of Black People actually believe this. (But then again, a significant number of Blacks are uncomfortable driving into rural Indiana, believing that there is a KKK member behind every stalk of corn…..Which there isn’t)

so, 4 years ago, and 8 years ago respectively…..

How many universities and colleges had counseling resources for those folks bothered by the fact that we had somehow elected a liberal man who was raised as a muslim to the highest office in the land? How many places of higher education cancelled classes the day after…and provided resources for those students who were disturbed by the idea of Barry being President?

yeah, I thought so.

How many conservatives cried? Had the Vapors? How many actually needed counselling?

Yeah….those were the ones who rioted too, back then, I bet.

So some whiny liberal CEO from San Diego (That is in Kalifornia, if you voted for Hillary) has threatened to get “a sniper rifle and perching myself where it counts”, also “Find a bedroom in the whitehouse [sic] that suits you motherf—er. I’ll find you”.

“I’m going to kill the president Elect,” was one of the posts on Harrigan’s Twitter account. It was followed by the comment, “Bring it secret service.”
Now, I will bet good American dollars (lots of ’em, in fact) that Mr. Harrigan has never held a rifle in his hands….has no idea of the limitations of what a rifle can do….and has no idea how difficult or how much training it takes to make a long distance shot against a human sized target. While I have never actually looked closely, my bet would be that the SS has every approach and angle for at least a thousand yards around the WH covered. I’m not a sniper, but I CAN do about 80% at 800 yards, and I doubt that the Secret Service has left anywhere for me to take a shot. And I practise, and I keep my skillset honed. (Plus, I am led to believe, the windows of the White House are fairly bullet resistant).

For those of you on the Left: It isn’t just like you see on the TV. It takes a LOT of training to take a long distance shot. Ranging, ballistics, just learning to hold an effective hold so you don’t munge up the shot with shaking, or your breathing, or you heartbeat or muscle quivers. Reality is that you can’t just pick up a rifle for $600 and hit someone a half mile away with the first shot out of that rifle. Yer gonna spend a large chunk of scratch to get a rifle capable of that kind of accuracy. (I have one that was built by a man, who sold it to me for much less than what it was worth because he had parkinsons….But it will do the job….if I can do mine). You need a LOT of training and physical conditioning to be able to shoot a rifle that is capable of that kind of shot….YOU have to be capable too. Few people are…. I get a little worse every year. Sniping is for the young, really.

So it is entirely possible that Mr. Harrigan was just spouting off….He lives in Kalifornia, remember. Not so sure he could purchase a “sniper rifle” even if he wanted to……

I hope the Secret Service makes his life hell. He is looking at up to 5 years and as much as a $10K fine.
