No one can do any research. None of them can be be bothered to check if the current reason for the outrage of the day is actually accurate.

They just climb on that bandwagon and scream and hoot and REACT with the rest of the primates, secure in their belief that the crowd is always right. (or the State) and that their arbitrary and poorly thought out  actions (if they are thought at all) will be justified.

It is no wonder that they are opposed by mature, right thinking folks.

Are they too blind or too stupid to see they are being led? Herded like cattle by those who would stir their emotions to gain? Like 3 year olds? One would expect that children could be easily led, but these are  otherwise intelligent (if overly emotional) adults.

I find the reactions of some of my fellow citizens to be scary, in a  “1984” sort of way

(Notice how the death of the two Troopers in a helicopter accident is blamed on the protests (and notice how Sharpton is led to say the things Charlie Rose wants him to say))

Just like making the Confederate Flag a hate symbol didn’t fix things a few years ago…

Maybe it isn’t the symbols that are the problem?

Making good decisions will.

Don’t have a record before you are 16. Girls, don’t get pregnant before marriage. Do your kids a favor and only have kids with someone who can be a father Do yourself a favor and finsh high school first.

Be able to pass a drug test.

Learn to speak decent english. If you are white it will help. If you are a minority, and can pair that with passing a drug test, you can go far. Add in a high school diploma and you will find a lot of places doing their best to hire you.

The above will do lightyears more to advance blacks in our society than tearing down a statue or renaming a street.

But it is hard to get a crowd of minorities to self reflect, innit?

I mean, it was racially motivated, right? Or does that only apply to white folks?

Thompson said she helped take down the statue because she was tired of living in fear.
The monument was dedicated to “the boys in gray,” she said.
“It’s white supremacy. Plain and simple,” she said. “And it had to go”

Yeah, Ms Thompson, that’s gonna fix all yer problems there.
I hope she rots in jail. And I hope they sue her for damages. Big money (although she likely has very little).

Yeah, that is the same way I feel about you folks who want to tear down monuments here in the US just because you disagree with what YOU think they stand for. 


Not just statues of Confederate Generals, but monuments to just plain old soldiers who ft for their homes. Few of them over had the wherewithal to own a slave. Just poor folks fighting for their homeland.

Yet you want to destroy ’em because to you, all things Confederate mean slave to your ignorant uneducated mind. Because some jackass whose knowledge you cannot judge says so.

I’m not from the South. Born and raised in the midwest. Yet your actions anger and disgust me.

Feel free to find someone from your culture’s past that is worth raising a monument to. Gather enough donations and have a statue cast or a sculpture made. I will support space in a park for that, if you can find a figure worthy and can raise the cash.

(Hint: That is how those statues and monuments got there….people paid for ’em and donated them to the city or the park).

Otherwise you are no better than those seventh century savages in Afghanistan.

That peaceful and law abiding group took to the streets of Durham and pulled a monument to Confederate soldiers down.

Vandalism.

And, oddly, no police officer saw nothin’, even though this took place at the courthouse.
No arrests were made.
Can I pull down statues of MLK and Malcolm X because I disagree with what they stood for? (Hint, I dislike Malcolm X but respect the REAL MLK, not what the current legend of him is….and I wouldn’t be that disrespectful any monument).

But if we are gonna have open season on monuments that some folks dislike…..
