My reply:

Canceling Keystone XL May Have Been Biden’s Biggest Blunder.

The author points out that the cancellation would not have affected the current price of gasoline, but does point out that the entire attitude of the Biden administration has contributed to the decrease in supply. The political blunder may well lead to the unseating of the DNC led government…(assuming the RNC boys and girls can come up with a viable candidate rather than the losers they’ve offered in the recent past).

Joe average sees $4+ gas and doesn’t care about the nuances. He sees a policy that is opposed to a ready and steady (and secure) supply of oil…..and all he really cares is how much of his paycheck goes into the tank each week.

No mass transit here, and most electric cars don’t cover the range needs I have….especially in the winter.

What a surprise that he ended up dead. I’m not condoning his apparent murder, but I can understand it, especially with folks like Ukrainians and Russians…..

There is a time to shut up. He apparently didn’t know when that was. He probably should have left town as well. Promoting and admiring the person who has ordered the invasion of your country makes people ……angry.

Vigilantism is bad, but it happens when war breaks out in one’s home. People have very little tolerance for traitors.

I mean, my understanding was that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was in place to allow the US to continue to operate should a war greatly inhibit our ability to import or extract oil. A tactical Strategic Reserve, not an economic Strategic Reserve.

It certainly isn’t a storage device intended to to keep the price of oil down so that the President can look less bad due to high gasoline prices.

And really, the releases are ineffective, reducing prices only a few days if at all.
