Now, Fauci is considering (along with the CDC) a change from the arbitrary (and randomly chosen) 6 foot rule….might become three feet….for the nation, not just Chicago and Maryland schools. So much for the “experts” who ahve forced so many changes and rules upon our society.

Remember, the 6 foot rule was simply an arbitrary distance the a bunch of folks in Europe chose with no data backing that decision….(actually two meters).

So now we find, that just like masks (they work/they don’t work/now they work again/you really should use 2 masks/now it’s 3 masks/etc) there is no real science behind any of these arbirarily chose “rules”…and when it is convenient or policially expedient, the “Experts” simply change the rules.

Funny how all this “new data” showed up a month or so after the election, innit? And odd how it is just now being disseminated.

If they ahd told the truth in October, it’d be President Trump. Bet on it. INstead, we will have Preident Kamala very soon.

So Saturday, we flew across Indiana and into Illinois for a bit of food and some shopping.  It was about a s VFR a day as it gets. Clear/25,000 winds at altitude less than 5 knots .

A bit of confusion with the controller. Chicago approach, about halfway through their airspace, told me to check in with South Bend approach…I questioned that, even to the point of repeating my entire tail number….and he told me that that was indeed correct (We were well outside of South Bend approach airspace, mind you). South Bend was confused, and had me switch back……and Chicago approach somewht indignantly told me to go back to South Bend….I explained that SB had tossed me back to Chicago…. He called them on a landline and then acknowledged that it was confusion on his part with similar call signs. Not a big deal, but one has to keep on one’s toes…Controllers make mistakes too.

Other than a somewhat sporty landing at our desination (ok, a bouncy one….kinda really was two landings…..) it was otherwise uneventful.

Taxiied to the FBO, got a crew car, did lunch (with a GIANT cup of coffee… at least 24 oz)….

and some shopping, got some take-out food from some places we like, and back in the air about 4 pm. Again, severe VFR weather all the way home….

Other than the (many) Sandhill Cranes that were, for some reason all flying about 3000 feet, the approach to home was normal.  That landing ws near perfect, so I felt somewhat better.

I love having a plane for day travel. What would be a 3 hourt drive is a 45 minute flight……Now I am thinking of getting a twin so I can go faster and higher….

and not the European papers that have the gust to question what is going on with Joseph Biden?

I mean, had Trump or Bush not bothered to have a press conference for over 40 days since being sworn in, the speculation and accusations would be overwhelming.

Yet, from our domestic press? Crickets.

The “Experts” told us that we needed to do a “lockdown” for two weeks to prevent us all from dying of Covid-19….that became a YEAR of restricted travel and business….

Turned out that these were the same “Experts” that first told us that Masks DIDN’T work, then told us that they DID work, then mandated their use in public.

These same folks told us that there would be 4.3 MILLION dead from Covid by August 2020…….

So much for “Experts”………..Part of me, the part that thinks that a Reynolds Wrap Fedora is a fashion statement, thinks that the whole Covid debacle was to trash the economy to break up the Trump Economic Boom….

How the FBI can track every person who was within range of the Cell Phone towers near the Capitol….and are using that data to prosecute people, whether they entered the Capitol or not.

Yet they never used that investigatory technique in all the riots in Portland, nor in any of the lootings last year (Pardon me…those “Mostly Peaceful” protests where the white man’s goods were redistributed in the interests of fairness and racial equality in protest of the death of a criminal while fighting to escape custody) in any of the cities where Billions of economic damage happened….

Odd how all THOSE criminals got off scott free, innit? (Of course, the DNC needed them in order to rile up De Black Folk to get them to vote and all, so that made their lawbreaking acceptable, I guess).

So in Chicago, the schools are reducing the “Social Distancing” to THREE FEET….’cause they have learned better….or they realize that they can’t return to in-school learning  with a 6 foot distancing…so they changed the guidelines to make things less difficult….You know, those guidelines we were all told to follow or it could cost us our life….the ones that the “experts” told us we had to follow? The “guidelines” that the businesses had to enforce or they suffered the threat of being shut down even further or losing their business licenses entirely…..

Now, We all know that there was no science involved in the 6 foot distancing (2 meters for our metric friends)…it was a made-up number. Someone said “gee, we should tell people to stay apart so as not to pass this disease”…..and someone suggested 2 meters and that became the manta of how to protect yourself from Covid….even though there was absolutely ZERO dtata upon which they based the decision or the distance…

Now that it is inconvenient to have schools with a 6 foot distancing, the Illinois Department of Health has (conveneintly for the schools) reduced that to 3 feet…. Odd, that.

Covid id a funny disease though….it is (now) less dnagerous in schools than it was months ago….it is MORE dangerous in the evening, especially after 10 (or 8) PM in a bar……it is dangerous when you walk to your table at a restaurant, but not when you are sitting AT the table eating….

So much bullshit surrounding covid. There was, apparently, as much “science” in the response to Covid as there is “science” in the “Global Warming” debate….(which, when facts showed there was no warming, then became “Climate Change”…..

But in Meatspace, I’ve been busy flying, so no posting ’cause I don’t have any time to think of one.

I do wonder why the whiny couple from Britain is gettting so much press in the US. Rich couple doesn’t wanna play by the rules and now doesn’t like the result? So what? Why should we care?

Bubba Wallace, of Nascar Noose fame, who has a new team, formed by Michael Jordan so that a Black Driver could coninue to race (he was toxic for most other teams after the “noose (that wasn’t) incident”) has a majority of…..white men as team members. Mechanics, pit crew, etc….all white. One might have thought that a team where the prinicpal owner is black, and the driver is black, might employ at least a token black team member or two…..

The hypocricy is strong here.
