Helped at a food bank …what a disappointment

I found it irritating:

So a friend had asked me if I would help out at a local food bank the other morning. I wasn’t doing much then so I said yes.

Every Single Person who was broke enough (supposedly) to need help from the Food Bank had in their car either a $6 coffee from a large chain that rhymes with “Carbuck” or a large fountain drink. Every Single One of them.

If yer that broke that you need to beg food at the Food Bank (which gets their food from donations) then you can’t afford high dollar coffee and soft drinks.

Pick one. Broke or not.

Also, many of these folks were driving pretty nice rides as well.

I’m thinking the concept of “Poor ” is not what I thought it was.

I mentioned the expensive drinks to one of the leaders there and was told “Don’t Judge”.

But I WILL judge. I was volunteering my time to help people less well off than I am. I.E. “Poor”. These folks weren’t acting Poor, nor were they volunteering….they just wanted the free food. .

They were just taking.

Last time I volunteer for something like this.

I’m not sure I can justify any additional donations, either, to be honest.

Question:

If Cops think that it is a valid reason to shoot someone just because that person has a firearm in their hand…..Therefore that person is a valid threat…..

Does that then mean that if I encounter a police officer with a drawn firearm that I get to shoot him or her because I can perceive them as a threat in the same preemptive manner?

I ask this because of the reasoning (by the sheriffs office) for the shooting of Roger Fortson in Florida the other day….

I know the excuse is “Officer Safety”, but being a cop isn’t even in the top 10 most dangerous professions here in the US. And why is “Officer” safety any more valid and important then MY safety or the safety of any other citizen’s? We all want to go home at the end of the day.

How about if he (or she) puts his hand on the firearm in a holster in a threatening manner? In my state, this is considered “brandishing” and is legally a threat….can I shoot the cop then? (I can, generally, out draw and out shoot most police officers, so this is actually valid) Just asking ’cause I want to be clear….I mean, if it is ok for the cops then it should be OK for me, right? Same rules and all that?

This shooting, at the face of it, looks like plain and simple murder to me.

Biden’s “Build Back Better” in a nutshell:

7 billion dollars allocated but so far only 7 charging stations actually built after 2 years.

We are lucky that those stations aren’t diesel powered chargers though…

As far as “Green” boondoggles go, at least is isn’t a total loss like Obama and Solyndra, where the taxpayer ‘s paid for the losses and Barry’s friends got rich (and he got kickbacks so he could buy his oceanfront property)

High quality people there

A Historically Black University held a graduation…..

There was not enough room for all the families.

So the folks outside broke out the windows and rattled and forced open doors.

The graduation was cancelled.

“Because of the size of the room and because our relatives sometimes do not know how to act, the fire department is now here to shut us down,'”

Something weird about black people and crowds. .

Funny, innit, how the cops CAN act quickly

When someone rich and powerful is inconvenienced by the protesters.

“Queers for Palestine” demonstrators block entrance to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

An angry driver became so irate that he got out of the car to yell at the demonstrators, three of whom were arrested 11 minutes later by Florida cops.

At some point someone is gonna get hurt, badly while blocking the road or being removed from it.

“A man oughta be able to do a robbery

Without some bystander stepping in and shooting him”

I guess that career criminals can do it, but bystanders can’t.

So the parents of a robber, holding HIS gun at the heard of store staff, are angry that some bystander chose to intervene and shot their son…..: “He shoulda just Left the store and gone on”

I am sure that s soon as this latest robbery was done he was gonna “Turn His Life Around.
