If you aren’t strong enough to deal with the stress of competition, especially the level of competition found in the Olympics, then you should not go to the Olympics as a competitor. Let someone else go in your stead.
Stress in a competition is found everywhere that people test themselves against others. Shooting matches, wrestling, races, gymnastics, Martial Arts, etc. Stress is a PART of the competition. Olympic levels of competition mean Olympic levels of stress… If you are so psychologically and emotionally fragile that you are unable to compete, then you are not an Olympic level competitor. Stress is, in other words, part of the game.
