Hey, President Trump:

How about, instead of retasking ICE to the airports, you give the TSA agents an ultimatum:

“Back to work or GTFO, turn in your uniforms, we will mail you a check once the funding from congress happens. Your benefits (and job) terminate on Monday if you are not at work”

And that goes for all the managers at the TSA that are allowing the “sick outs” ….up to and including Acting Administrator is Ha Nguyen McNeill. Unless these administrators have a memo dated at least a week ago protesting the allowance of the call offs, they too should be tossed out…..from the bottom to the top. Remove the rot and get people who will do the job as they should. Or shut down the TSA, I really don’t think we need them anyway and there are better places to spend the money they cost. Let the airlines pay for private security at the airports. It’s not all that hard to look for guns, knives, and hand grenades….

Either the TSA folks go back to work Monday, or gut the agency. Start over (or consider eliminating it, if you can) with people that want to work….the pay is decent if not great, and the benefits are awesome.  If these TSA folks don’t want to work, others will. Fire anyone who does not report to their shift on Monday.

ICE doesn’t belong in the airports, they aren’t trained to do the job, and they are (mostly) failed police officers. I’d rather see you bring in the National Guard than ICE.

Don’t tell me “It isn’t that simple”…it IS that simple. They work for the American people, paid for by our tax money. If they aren’t gonna do the job, fire them. That’s the way it works for the rest of us, and that’s the way it should work for these people as well.

Firing people worked for Reagan, and it will work here.

Yep

Happy future birthday to James Tiberius Kirk

And to William Shatner, who (most fortuitously) shares his birthday 94 years ago and 198 years in the future

I cannot grieve

Robert Mueller has passed.

Much like Mark Twain, I will not attend the funeral, but I will send a card saying I approve.

It isn’t his partisan investigation witch hunt for “Russian Collusion” (which was pretty bad and for which he should have been prosecuted) but rather the thing he turned the FBI into after 9-11…his part in creating and controlling the Department of Homeland Security and what he did with the FBI. For that, I cannot help but hope he gets his just reward….and does not pass the Pearly Gates.

RIP

In case you haven’t heard (I was busy yesterday and didn’t hear until late last night), Chuck Norris died .

‘Tis said the devil offered to step aside and allow him to take his place, but Chuck declined and is headed in the other direction.

A good actor, and from what I hear, a good man. The world is a little less great today because he is gone.

How many

How man of the Somali Daycare money recipients have been arrested, much less tried or convicted? How many of them have been shut down and their assets frozen for fraudulent business practices?

Where is the DOJ? (Much less the Minnesota cops)…

Who is in jail for all the fraud?

Or are Pamela Bondi and her employees as useless and absent as they appear to be in the Epstein investigation?

Innit strange:

As primary elections start across the country, (already happened in some states) may Blue States are claiming that ICE agents showing up at polling places is “Illegal Election Interference”.

If Illegal aliens aren’t voting in our elections, what does ICE or Border Patrol agents outside of polling places matter? Who is being intimidated?

Somehow, for some reason, I  think the claim that “No Illegal alien invaders are voting”  doesn’t hold water. I think someone is lying

They should be fired

Anyone who calls in sick now that the TSA folks are actually, you know, missing a paycheck (up til now it has all been theater) should be fired. The news reports of their agents suddenly being evicted or having to donate plasma are crap,

If you are an “Essential Worker” then you need to show up or be fired. Period. It’s a part of the game. Part of your terms of employment.

They only missed being paid, only didn’t get a paycheck, last Friday, so it isn’t like they have not been paid for weeks or months…they’ve missed a few days. And they knew it was coming. The news reports of their agents suddenly being evicted or having to donate plasma are crap,

And make no mistake, the TSA management is part of this “Sick-Out” bullshit. They know what is going on and are actually encouraging it, even if only by tolerating the behavior. They want long lines at airports and are hoping to close a major airport in order to make things as painful as they can for the public in order to get their funding restored as quickly as possible. They too should be fired for this allowing this crap.

When one third or more of the TSA workforce decides to suddenly call in sick (it is, apparently normal for 3-5% to be out on any given day) that is a job action, and it is illegal.

At this point, the TSA folks are breaking the law. If they can’t show up for work, then they should be fired at a minimum.

Their aim is, apparently, to have enough TSA “agents”  call off in a single day that they ca shut down a major airport to force their funding being restored by making life as miserable as possible for the people they are supposed to be serving.

If the agency is truly “Essential”, then the management and our government needs to act like it, and enforce attendance. If they aren’t gonna do that, then we can see, they are demonstrating,  that the TSA really isn’t “Essential”.

Anything else is just playing games.

Enough of this bullshit. Allowing these folks to stay home and to excuse that behavior is as false as the stupidity during the last two budget battles when the Parks Department coned off scenic overlooks and closed parks that never had Park Rangers before the budget battle just to inconvenience tourists and make the public as unhappy as possible.  This TSA theater is the same sort of thing.

“Essential” or not. Get in or get out. Decide.

Simple as that.
