But if you feel you gotta comment: Say it in a manner like this:
” I Did Not Attend the Funeral, But I Sent a Nice Letter Saying I Approved of It” (Mark Twain)
Many politicians could learn from that quote.
Approve or disapprove, be it Charlie Kirk or Rob Reiner.
Most of the time it’s best to smile and say “I am sorry for his family” and nothing more.
Have some class, or demonstrate you have none.
And all you assholes who were outraged by Kimmel approving of the murder of Charlie Kirk don’t have leg to stand on defending Trump’s happiness over Rob Reiner’s murder. Have a single set of standards, fer chriissake. Be better than the left, no double standards, Stick to your principles, or you have none.
Principles seem to be ‘fluid’ today, depending on who is involved. The next funeral ‘I’ attend will be mine.
Not all lives are equally valuable. I’d dance for weeks if Fauci got run over.
And while I would not mourn his passing, I’d not go on a public forum and cheer for it either.
Be better than the Leftists who have no class or standards at all, esle you are no better than them.
I am struggling with how to say this precisely.
The American public’s ability to read text in a careful and analytical way is abysmally low. We have short attention spans and skim text. We let our biases and preconceptions fill in the blanks.
Some readers will skip over a lot of text and somehow, erroneously, come to the conclusion that Trump is saying that killing people like Reiner is how you prove you are true-MAGA.
It might be a small percentage, but there are 350,000,000 people in this country. 0.5% of them is still almost two million people.
While you (B) and I are on the same page, we might have gotten there via different paths.
