I’ve been in the fire service since December 1983 and this is the first I’ve ever heard of such a thing.
Just like cops, the military, and EMS firefighters are on duty 7/24/365. EVERY DAY is Firefighter Day. We all get free coffee and fountain soft drinks at all the area Cumberland Farms stores every day when in uniform. When not in uniform, there are places that give a discount if you produce your department ID at checkout.
