I need to point this out again:

and I’m gonna keep hammering on it.

The Somali fraud is bad enough.

But the US and State Governments are paying TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS per kid per year for daycare for people’s children.

TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.

That averages to nearly $1700 per month per child.

That level of subsidies is insane.

Cheaper to pay a mom of 2 to stay home.

  1. I hate to say it, but that figure is NOT unrealistic! When I looked into granddaughter’s day care, with three workers @$15/hr for 10 hour days, plus insurance, plus heat/a/c plus $8-10/day per kid for food and supplies, it does come out to about $1600 a month.

    • Not really, as 3 workers can do about 25 kids.

3 x$15 times 8 hours per day/5 days per week/4 weeks per month.
Cost $288 per kid per month. Double that for insurance and taxes and unemployment and such $576

Even if you accept $10 per kid per day for a juice box, a sandwich and a couple of cookies, that is $200 per month

So total costs per month are somewhere closer to $800 per month.
Pretty good profit. Subsidized by the taxpayer. Too much no matter who is doing the daycare.
For 3 kids that’s likely more that the mom makes at her job (before taxes) if she is working.

Either way, it isn’t the responsibility of people like you and me to pay for child care for some woman’s kids.

Much less subsidize some Somali family’s fortune.
