Yes, it was an accomplishment, but at the end of things, It is really just another day in the Middle East. Either Hamas will violate the cease fire after rearming during the Cease fire, or the Israelis will crack down on the folks in Gaza and start the fighting over again. Neither side really wants peace as peace means that they can’t use each other for political gain.
The citizens of Gaza (there is no such country as Palestine) hate the Israelis as much or more than the Jews hate the Gazans….And it ain’t never gonna change.
Biblically, and yes I do believe in the Bible, the “end” is a terrible fight between Isreal and it’s enemies. I really don’t care; as I believe that God wins in the end.

The End and the Return only happen when they accept Jesus and let him lead them there. (Romans 15:8)
Not that I think that the end will be a matter of the Jews returning, mind, I am just reminded of what they taught me in Sunday School by your statement.
Much of what we believe is what others taught us to think supported by verses taken out of context.
That’s because Jews are news (for both positive and negative reasons) and Trump is news (again for both positive and negative reasons), put them together and its cat-nip for the media and Jew and Trump haters (Yes, I repeated myself) and that gets eyeballs and clicks.
Israel gets an inordinate amount of focus and criticism on the world stage while other nations with far more deadly and pressing conflicts, well, they get not so much coverage if any.
For example, the Royhinga Muslims are being violently persecuted by the Burmese with over 740,000 made refugees and thousands killed and it is going on right now – no one gives a flying you-know-what as no Jews are involved. Not a peep from the Free Palestine folks nir really anyone else.
Over 500,000 Syrians killed in their civil war and over 1,000 Syrian Christians killed this year alone post civil war, but since no Jews are involved, no one cares.
Over 61,000 civilians dead in Sudan in the latest round of fighting and starvation (the fighting there has been going on for decades now with hundreds of thousands dead mainly at the hands of the Muslims there killing Christians in job lots), and millions displaced and not a peep nor any Greta Flotillas bringing a pittance of aid and publicity.
And that’s just a few examples.
And that is kinda my point.
NOBODY hates “others” more than Muslims do. FACT!
