That “Crime is Down” in Chicago? That the statistics used for the latest claim have not been created out of thin air?
Supposedly “Crime” is Down by 21%, homicides by 38% and Multi-victim shootings by 44%
Odd that they never mentioned that drop in crime until Trump promised to bring Federalized National Guard troops to the city, innit? You’d think that if the mayor and his staff had actually reduced crime by that much that they would have been trumpeting (ahem) it to the skies…everyone would have heard about the wonderful reduction in crime.
You know, and I know, that the new statistics promulgated by the Chicago Mayor Johnson and by Illinois Governor (Fatso) Pritzker are lies made up by twisting their new definition of “crime” into pretzels.
I just find it funny that they never bothered to even try to push the new statistics until Trump promised to come and do their job for them.
The Chicago Democrats can’t win. If Trumps reduces crime, then 100 years of Democrat rule and promises are shown to be false. They count on the perpetual conditions to provide the votes to keep them getting elected.

The real question is not if crime is down or up. The question is if the current situation in Chicago constitutes an emergency.
Trump is claiming there is an emergency happening and that gives him the authority to deploy the National Guard to Chicago.
For me it comes down to states rights. People of Illinois voted for Democrats, they should live with the consequence of their choice. At the same time that is one of the leading reasons I don’t live in a democrat lead state. If we agree with Trump’s premise to send the National Guard to Chicago then don’t act all surprised when President AOC-Sanders-Mamdani sends the national guard into Alabama or South Dakota claiming some sort of gun related crisis.

But that wasn’t the point about the original post though. It was the lies from the DNC types.
But the sad thing is….the residents of Illinois will just sit there and “bobble-head” their agreement with those “alleged” numbers. Reminds me of that meme of the dog in the fire saying, “this is ok….”
