I got the chance to run with a McLaren at a stoplight the other day.
It was fun….for about 2.8 seconds, then he left me in the dust. I did stay with him until he got into second or (maybe third) gear. He had open road in front of him and just left me at about (Redacted) MPH like I was standing still. I mean, I knew I was gonna get smoked, but I didn’t think I was gonna get smoked THAT BADLY.
I have a fairly hot car, for what it is, but not like that. I can beat most of the faster BMW’s, and most Porsches. and can flat out run away from most Corvettes and other “Sports” Cars, but that McLaren had massive acceleration. Quite Impressive.
We both, of course, adhered to all applicable driving laws and such……
I like to rev my engine at stoplights next to sports cars……………………….

Fun to drive and luxurious. My dentist has a McLaren 720S. I may as well have been in a Yugo. 😆
Yeah, I’m a bit faster than your car, but I too felt like I was in a Yugo (or a Smart car)…..

Well, that is comforting to know.
What the McLaren does NOT have is much mass. Sort of like a motorcycle in that respect. Another thing it might lack is occupant protection in the event of sudden, unintended deceleration. I am glad that neither of you tested that capability.
