Seems that Canada is pulling US liquor from their shelves…
Of course, this is a stupid, useless gesture, as that booze was already paid for, has been imported, and that booze, since it is in the country, is not subject to any import tariff.
But they, Leftists….grandstanding and symbolism over substance.
HAW HAW!!!
Now they have to drink their own swill !!!
Maybe you should talk to the folks in Kentucky about how feeble a protest it is,
Art: Read for comprehension….
hey are removing the bottles THAT ARE ALREDY IN THE COUNTRY…..those are unaffected by the tariff.
Already inside Canada
, therefore not currently affected by any tariff. This a symbolic gesture only.
BTW, Canada is only 1% or so of their sales.
Wasn’t talking about the ones already in stock, and by the way tariffs are put on by the receiving country, not the exporter, thus the exporter does not get charged the tariff but their products are more expensive to buy. If they are removed from stock, there won’t be any future sales for a while, so not so feeble a gesture after all.
I am glad you understand how Tariffs work.
So you understand that removing the items ^^already in-country^^ from the shelves is not going to affect future sales then?
Did you miss the fact that Canada accounts for less than 1% of sales?
Or are you simply being obtuse for the sake of argument like a woman?
You seem to be the one being obtuse. The liquor stores that have removed the stock will still have the stock, therefore future sales will be of the stock they have on hand, get it?
I think your figure of Canadian sales being !% may be a little off, as I remember Kentucky was crying the blues the last time this happened. It evidently created a major hole in their budget.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings.
1% to Canada, 7-8% to Mexico: I checked before posting it.
Facts, not Feelz.

Everyone “Cries the Blues” any time there is any loss in sales. JD lost 3% overall last year. Before tariffs.
The stock they have on hand was already paid for as far as JD is concerned…they already got the money. ….Yes, those few hundred bottles will impact future sales, if and when…for what, a week or two?
Keep dancing. Again, this is how women argue, Real men accept that they are wrong and move forward, having learned. Try it.
We are done here. You can do the last comment.
.
I wasn’t talking about just Jack Daniels which is as you know from Tennessee, but ALL producers, as you probably also knew. You were correct about JD and the 1% though, however the Ontario liquor sales alone, of all American liquors is $995 Million a year, so there will probably still be quite a bit of hurt.
Thank you for the opportunity to interact, but when you have to send out insults along the way, you diminish your own arguments.
It is as silly as people trashing or giving away Tesla’s they already paid for. How does that hurt Elon Musk?
Tesla already got the sale.
