While it may just be bad reporting…

‘Tis strange that a “Protective Agent” somehow “spotted a rifle barrel sticking out of the brush 300 to 500 yards away” That’s pretty good eyesight, innit?

Plus, of course, it was apparently an AK variant, which makes 300 yards a tricky shot.

Plus a GoPro camera…..Which doesn’t really have the lens for 200+ yards.

One wonders if the shooter is really that inept in his choice of weapon and other equipment.

Either the coverage is really that bad, or this is somehow a put up job. I am unsure which.

 

ETA: And lots of folks are asking how the dude knew that Trump wans gonna be there at the time he was…How did he know the schedule?

Also: Where did he get the rifle? He lived in Hawaii. Apparently it had the serial number somehow obscured.

It occurs to me that this “assassination attempt” was pretty amateurish…..one wonders if there was supposed to be a real shooter somewhere, and this guy was just the patsy like Crooks?

And it is bad reporting. Now it is an SKS rather than a AK. (For those that don’t know, the difference is HUGE)

  2. I don’t know about where the rifle came from, but for the other, amateur would be correct. How did he know T would be there? C’mon guys its sun in mar alago at the golf course, law of averages says he will be there eventually and I would bet it was a multi use hide that no one noticed around the golf course. That train of protection going to the golf course would be a clear indicator to move to a prepared spot. It’s not rocket science. Poorly hidden, yes, but it strikes me as opportunity rather than preplanned as to the date and timing. Just my 2cp.

  3. They lost me at 300yds with the AK… Even with the little I know about that gun, I do know a hit from almost 1000ft out is pretty much fantasy material even if you know what you’re doing…

  4. Depends on whether or not you ‘believe’ the hype around the SKS… The movement of the former president is not exactly covert. Plain and simple. Re procuring the gun, easy enough to do on many street corners in major towns, all one needs is a criminal contact in that. city.

      An SKS (not a chinese one) is a lot better rifle than an AK. 300 yards is possible then.

      As I said, all of the oddities might just be bad reporting.

        Hmmm, in 2024, is there any other kind of reporting? Even one Fox alumna (I forget the woman’s name) does not comprehend the fact of legal selective fire firearm ownership, and, as well, conflates semi auto, generally legal Kalashnikov variants with ZOMG! LEBENTY! EEEBIL! selective fire weapons.

        Dumbness abounds. Particularly evident in Da Nooz.

  5. Reports are the golf game was not on Trump’s schedule and was a last minute decision. This means that someone inside the White House leaked the decision so that this could happen. This is now almost certainly another “inside job” just like the attempt in July was.
