Ronald Regan.

This is an example of what we can look forward to if the federal government (democrats) gets what they want: socialized medicine.
The bureaucracy is bad enough in private care. But government run healthcare is likely to make the VA look like a well run clinic for aging millionaires…
Let’s not forget the fact that those of us who actually work and pay taxes will be paying for those who do neither….
…government is an entity which stays benign only so long as those who make up its character are so disposed. The very soul, mind, heart and action of any government are a direct expression of the morality, or lack of it, by those who make up the government and those who elect them. “

From my cold dead fingers….
Again we have that frog being boiled slowly.
Go here for an interesting article on how things are gonna go. Ask yourself if he’s wrong.
Then ask yourself, “What am I gonna do to prepare for it? And what am I gonna do to try and stop it?”
Then ask yourself again,…”How am I gonna prepare for it?” Then start.
Think about it….

From Fabius Maximus comes similar thoughts to mine regarding our acceptance of the status quo vs the Iranians…..Not quite so revolutionary as mine, but in the same vein…..Take the time to follow the links and see another view….The point about focused anger is interesting.
So, there is science that indicates that Carbon Dioxide and mankind are NOT contributing to Glowbal Warmening…….
But the liberals never let the truth (and science) get in the way of their agenda, do they????
Never let a crisis go to waste, even if you have to manufacture that same crisis.
Especially if you worship at the church of Glowbal Warmening…..
Seems that Mr. Ahmadinejad doesn’t like Mr. Obama. When Obama made a statement about the crackdowns in Iran, Mr Ahmadinejad got petulant and blustery and antagonistic. I guess that Obama might have to learn a lesson here. The culture of the Persians is one where accommodation and cooperation and being conciliatory is taken as a sign of weakness, and when you hold your ground (not that Obama has done much but criticize, and was late to do that) then you become an enemy again. How much ground did he gain with Iran by being conciliatory? Zero. If anything, his conciliatory tone made Iran braver.
You’d think that someone as educated as Obama would have understood that, but he didn’t, and now he gets a lesson. How many more lessons will he have to learn this way?
He is showing that he is as weak as Carter, and just as (if not more) inept in the way he handles our foreign policy. He has not gained ground with our enemies and has effectively insulted our allies.
I learned a long time ago, on the school playground, that the best way to handle a bully is to step on his toes until he apologizes. Apparently, Barry never got that lesson, and is learning it now. (if he ever does).
Accommodation in the attempt to create dialog assumes that the other person is willing to accommodate in return. Barry is learning that not all cultures are willing, and not everyone is a mild mannered liberal in their thinking.
I hope he learns quickly, before he makes a bigger mess of things than what we already have.
The left, who cried and cried about the Florida recount in 2000, who cried that the election had been stolen (it wasn’t. BTW) has yet to stand up and be counted as being against the current regime in Iran, who may have actually stolen an election.
Interesting, isn’t it. They cried that they had been ripped off when they were the losers, all about the “theft of an election” and “theft of democracy” and all that. Jimmeh Carter monitors elections in many countries (or at least, pretends to) for fairness and honesty, yet we hear NOTHING AT ALL from the left regarding the election in Iran.
Strange, isn’t it?
(the above question was, in case you are having a bad day, rhetorical….) We are, after all, talking about the left.
