Who besides Facebook, Google, maybe Apple, and, of course, the Federal Government is spying on us?

Seriously. Other than the fact that it was the Chinese Government rather than OUR government, or a faceless corporation (that sells the data to anyone, including the Chinese) spying, what’s the difference?

I was out at my local diner….

So the dude (Never seen him before) at one booth was (loudly) mouthing off and repeating the stuff he had (obviously) heard at CNN and MSNBC and maybe Colbert….

Almost psychotic foaming over at the thought of Donald Trump being President. It was amusing for a while but then it just became irritating.

Until the older lady at the table across the aisle leaned over and said (very loudly) in a voice that could have been heard at a rock concert:

“I hope your Trump Derangement Syndrome is terminal, you Jerk. Now shut up”

She got a round of applause.

The asshole shut his pie hole.

I may or may not have choked on my coffee.

Every friggin’ Senator, Democrats especially.

And they stayed silent.

For months, if not years.

A Soft Coup.

Effectively allowing Treason, as others took over the decision making process.

(I guess they figured Jill was a better choice that Kamala?

Anyone who knew, and stayed silent should be charged with Accessory to Treason. Democrat, Republican, Independent, all the White House staff, reporters, all of ’em.

ETA: And I include Speaker Mike Johnson, who has admitted he knew from the third week of JANUARY 2024….and did nothing to stop it. He too (and especially folks like him) should be tried for aiding and abetting Treason…tarred, feathered, and hun by the ankles from the highest tower we can find for everyone to see.

Seems that the Illegal Immigrant community is afraid of Mass Deportations planned to start in Chicago.

The fear is that the economy in some areas will fail because the illegals will hide in their homes….(Which it will until they get hungry or need work)

Reports are that some are packing up and heading south. I cannot find it in my heart to feel sorry for them.

I get that they want a better life and all that, but they, with few exceptions, did things the right way, most have not integrated into our society, but rather lived in enclaves and few have learned the language…. (which makes them “colonists”, not “immigrants”).

This has been an issue for most of my adult life, and they have been getting away with it, more or less for 5+ decades. I am glad it is changing, and that they fear for their ability to live here without becoming a part of our society.

Perhaps it is mean of me to feel this way, but I think if they had tried to become citizens then the threat of deportation would not apply. But most of them just didn’t bother.

As I said, Colonists.

I hope the authorities don’t just target Mexican/South Americans, but the illegal Indian and Muslim and Far Eastern populations as well.

Why is Tik-Tok banned but not Facebook over tracking of the users?

Enquiring minds and all that.

People spend money when they believe the future will be better.

They don’t spend money when they think it is gonna be worse.

They build things, expand their businesses and hire more people when they believe the future is gonna be better. Individuals spend money when they think they are gonna have a better chance of being employed in the coming years. The effect kinda snowballs.. More buying makes for more hiring which makes for more people working which makes for even more spending ….and so on and so on.

The Trump Economy is starting to boom, as people ramp up expansion plans because  they think tomorrow is gonna be better than the past 4 years.

Once the boom starts, it just keeps growing until someone or something changes that confidence.

I think we have about 3 years….Then we shall see

And If (and it is a Big “IF” ) the remaining hostages are actually released….

But if it happens……

Then we should start a pool as to when Hamas violates the cease fire agreement.
