We should fire everyone at NASA

Every single person in management.

They can’t write a contract that makes the supplier actually produce a product that works, nor are they holding the contractor responsible for the failures that endangered the crewmembers.

And they can’t do their own engineering

And they can’t seem to do their jobs.

Once again, NASA  has failed to deliver.

Probably pushed back to mid April, if not later.

These are not the people that put a man on the moon in 1969.

Everyone involved every individual and every contractor from Boeing to the management at NASA should be fired and barred from ever working on any government funded spacecraft ever again.

Damned lucky they didn’t kill the crew and hurt someone on the ground.

The same playbook

Over and over.

Remember the last government shutdown, when parks were closed, even those parks that never had park rangers posted at them? When they actually used traffic cones to block people from parking at unattended scenic overlooks just to inconvenience people because their Federal Funding was  being withheld as part of the budget battle?

DHS is doing what they can to emulate this today….TSA has to still work as they are deemed (by whom? Themselves?) as “essential” but the paid programs: TSA PreCheck and Global Entry are, of course, shut down just to inconvenience people (and make for longer lines) as much as they can while their funding is haggled over in Congress….

The game is wearing thin.

‘Twasn’t renewables

It was baseline coal power that ran the country (or at least a significant part of it) when the last winter storm hit.

It wasn’t the frozen and furled windmills, it wasn’t the snow covered solar panels.

It was good old fashioned coal fired thermal steam plants that powered the country.

If it had been “renewables” rather than coal then fully half of the US would have been in the dark (and cold) during the last winter storm.

Why do we have even a single dollar of fraud?

Aaron points out in comments  that even the Federal Government believes that there are HUNDRED$ of BILLIONS of dollars in fraud….

Yet this is somehow acceptable.??

This isn’t including the recently sensationalized Daycare fraud in Minnesota (and Ohio), or the other elderly care fraud in California.

For some reason, Fraud is now an acceptable part of government and government payments..

But is us, the taxpayer, that has to foot the bill

Jesse Jackson

Has passed on

Many will claim he was a civil rights leader, and perhaps he was.

He was also a race baiter and a man who used the race wars for personal power and enrichment.

I was taught to not speak ill of the dead, so therefore I have nothing else to say.

I cannot say I disapprove though.

My condolences to those who loved him.

I think that it should be for both:

‘Tis interesting that the Democrats want all Federal Police (ICE and Border Patrol) to “Show ID”  but don’t want ID’s to vote. Strange, that dichotomy.

Personally, I think that the ICE/BP folks should indeed have some form of ID, Badge number or other uniquely identifying device on their uniforms. (I also support the use of bodycams and stopping the use of face masks to hide their face. It’s a lot easer to misbehave (and intimidate) when you have no identifying marks on your uniforms, are faceless, and cannot be identified). There are no valid arguments against any police, at any level, that should be anonymous.

I also think that every single voter needs to provide a government issued ID in order to be able to cast a vote in any election….from Local to county to State to Federal.  (Those who claim it will be voter suppression are either idiots or stupid or have an agenda…or are flat out lying.)….
