I fear what a nutjob like him will do. He’s not sure about any of it, can’t understand any of it because he lacks the knowledge or training and listens to the other nutjobs who fear what they don’t understand.

I have no issues with reforming Health and Human services. But pick someone who can actually understand the issues and can understand the science enough to know what is truth, what is lies, and what is just plain ignorant fear.

I have seen it 3 times with muslim men that were business acquaintances of mine….from part of the culture and community here in the Midwest to radical religious fundamentalist fanatic…..in a very short time.

They all left the US for Muslim countries rather than commit jihadist atrocities, but still….They were “That Far”  from going all ‘splodey before they left the country.

It does get swamped at higher radiation levels, but most Geiger-Mueller tubes will do so also. If you are in an area with that level of radiation, you need to leave anyway.

Apparently the only barricades in place were simple orange and white sawhorses rather than anything more substantial…Interesting, if true. I remember substantial bollards  on most streets last time I was there.

We have no data on who the driver is, or his ancestry or religion as of this posting. But I bet, from the details that are emerging, that this is a muslim male between 25 and 40.

One thing I notice: All the major media, ABC, NBC. CBS, Fox, etc. are all commenting on the fact that much of the immediate care to the injured victims was given by bystanders from the crowd. Of course, all the commenters are from places like New York and LA and this incident happened in New Orleans…. I guess the folks in New York are more likely to simply stand around and gawk and take cell phone video, while in other places, like NO, people actually do something. It seems to surprise the New York folks,.
