Cash Only.

So this CrowdStrike issue…….Should make everyone aware of why we do not want a digital currency and to get rid of cash…

Many gas stations around here DO NOT, at this time, have the ability to accept credit cards. Nor debit cards. Same same Convenience stores. Lots of restaurants also cannot do credit or debit cards at this time.

All have a sign out front, on the doors and near the register:

“Cash Only.”

One place I know had the issue of their time drop safe being full, as they normally do over 70% of their sales via credit or debit, and now have had to take their payments on cash.

Of course, many ATM’s are non functional as they too are affected by the Crowdstrike failure.

Having cash is a good thing. This isn’t a small outage. Imagine if there was no cash, only digital currency and this failure had happened. Then what?

Of course, if the EBT system failed this way, there’d be riots in the inner cities…as poor people of all races got restless because they were hungry……

  1. LOL! As if the powers in charge give a rats ass about our ability to purchase necessities during such an event. THEY DON’T. All that matters is power and control. Digital currency makes that control nearly total. So it WILL be imposed like it or not.

      • When you’re as wrong about things as you are you might consider dialing back on dangerous hobbies. You might make a lethal mistake.

        • Yer the one that acts like a fed in my comments.

I am proficient in all my hobbies and very careful.

  2. Don’t forget it was Microsoft in the mix. However much you hate MS, you don’t hate them enough.

Hate is a very powerful word. Consider how despicable one must be to be so nearly universally hated.

Kim at Splendid Isolation had something to say about corporations all moving to a single point failure. He’d fire any Sr exec who dared suggest the same.

    • Computers using Windows but NOT CrowdStrike were seemingly unaffected…I don’t think you can blame MS for this
