We knew that then, and anyone who said otherwise was either just following their orders to say so or was too stupid to think it through… Which is one of the reasons that trust in Public Health was destroyed. We found out we could no longer trust the people charges with keeping us healthy.
It was never about Public Health or keeping people from being sick, it was about social conditioning and control.
It was about CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT OF FEAR. That then further encouraged the gullible to reject things like Ivermectin and to ignorantly embrace the mRNA death jab.
I don’t think that -at first- that intimidation was the intent. Here’s what I believe: as Bureaucrat of some experience you must always appear to have a solution for every problem. So, the masking was to given the illusion that there was some way to protect against the virus. Otherwise it is an uncontrollable monster and your government is powerless. A powerless government should be voted out.
Respiratory protection can work …. If
…. If the type of respiratory hazard is properly recognized,
… if the proper type of respiratory protection is chosen,
… if it is properly fitted,
… if the user is properly trained in uses and limitations,
… if it is property worn,
… if it is consistently worn,
… if it used as a last resort because all other hazard control options are impracticable,
… if, if if, etc.
It adds up to a lot of ifs that public health officials, doctors ( who actually don’t know their rear end from a hole in the ground about respiratory protection) and politicians disregarded or ignored in order to get people to comply with their solution to fit all.
