THis time on the west coast…
I gotta ask, do people not bother to look at flood maps? Never pay attention to river flood plains?
I mean, these floods in Washington are not even record river levels….
I would bet lots of real greenbacks that none of these places that are flooding are flooding for the first time. I can almost guarantee that they have flooded more than once in my lifetime…
Are people that stupid that they build (or buy) a house in areas that flood every decade or so?
But they ‘like’ the view… and get insurance to rebuild time after time. Just like the idjits on the Mississippi… sigh
Looking for a house thru VA financing, the realtor : ‘oh they won’t approve that one its in a flood plain’. I thought aren’t realtors supposed to tell other people that too? – guess not,,,
As a refugee from So. Ca., I can tell you this, “If it hasn’t flooded in the last 5 years, we’re good!” Until you get flushed with the next “hunnert year flood!!” In So. Ca. they have a 5 to 20 cycle.
