It was bad even at 15,000 feet:

Haze and smoke made everything indistinct. Like IMC only sorta not….The camera makes it look better than it was to the naked eye. For most of the trip I had only intermittent contact with the ground.

On the climb out

One wonder where the EPA is on this? Gotta be a violation or something….
