Good question

Nor should they be secure enough to think they can riot with impunity.

  1. There’s this growing perception—pushed by certain politicians and media outlets—that illegal immigrants are the ones out protesting in places like L.A. But that doesn’t hold up under basic scrutiny.

First, most of the people out protesting are citizens—people standing up for neighbors, coworkers, and friends being targeted by sweeping immigration raids. Many are union members, students, clergy, local organizers. These are Americans exercising their First Amendment rights.

Second, if you were undocumented, would you really put yourself at the front of a public protest? Risking arrest, exposure, and deportation? It defies common sense. Showing up in a crowd being monitored by ICE or law enforcement isn’t activism—it would be self-identification and surrender.

The idea that people without legal status are out committing mass violence in full public view just doesn’t add up. It’s not just wrong—it’s propaganda. It’s meant to create a false image of chaos, driven by “illegals,” so that any crackdown seems justified.

In truth, the protests are largely about the raids themselves—about families being torn apart, people with no serious criminal record being swept up, and communities feeling under siege. The protests are what you’d expect in a democracy when people believe their government is abusing its power.

So when we hear “illegals are rioting,” we should ask: Who really benefits from selling that story? Because the facts don’t support it.

    • I don’t know LA, but here in Chicago the illegals simply don’t care.
They are blatant about their status.

It is, after all, a “Sanctuary City”.

I think you are not entirely correct.

And those who protest who are legal? Yeah, they choose race and culture over country and laws.
      Fuck ’em.
