It is as I expected….

The “Chemtrail” folks, when pushed, couldn’t come up with anything substantive….

In fact, when the hard questions were asked, they faded away like Homer Simpson into the bushes.

I expect that if I asked the same from the “Vaccines are all bad” crowd, they’d do the same.

Not every conspiracy theory is wrong, but most are…..Most have their basis in fear and ignorance…Most of the followers of a particular conspiracy theory just can’t use logic, refuse to think critically and don’t bother to think clearly or use science..Their sources are anecdotal, and the “studies” they quote are poorly done with few rules or standards  And it shows…It’s more like a religion.

And the worst part is the reinforce each other like women gossiping. What appear to be intelligent people go off-the-rails when it come to things like “chemtrails” and the “Vaccine Conspiracy”… They just repeat what others have said….

They never have anything substantive, nor can they provide those critical things like details…All they have is innuendo and anecdotes from someone that they don’t know who they heard about 5th-hand or saw in X or Facebook, but whose credentials they have no idea about….and when pressed they act like 7th grade girls in an argument, twisting and squirming and deflecting, but never answering. They BELIEVE because they need something to fear and to talk about.

Sad, really.

It is fun to mess with them though.

  1. In response to the chemtrail kooks, I like to post photos of the contrail-filled skies from World War II, along with a caption that goes something like “It’s a good thing all those bombers and fighters didn’t have anything more important to do than spray chemicals in the air.”

  2. Not to be adversarial…sorry if I sound like that…..but their silence doesn’t really “prove” the hypothesis is false. And this question isn’t laid to rest. It just shows that “they” don’t have proof. Therefore, research needs to continue.
I personally don’t believe the vapor-trails are ladened with chemicals. I am of the opinion that it is just ice crystals forming in that weird vortex that planes make.
Having grown up in the 50’s and 60’s on the family dairy farm; I observed numerous instances of vapor-trails back then. We were in the flight path of planes leaving the Dane County airport.
One more thing; what would it take to convince you or any of your readers that “they” are correct in their “fear” of the “chem-trails”; besides their assertions?

    • They showed nothing. Not proof, I didn’t expect that, but not even details of what they fear….Go back and reread the original post: What are they spraying, who is doing it, who is funding it, etc.

Not even one reply on those questions.

If they cannot even name that which they fear, or the supposed culprits, then what, exactly are they afraid of? What Chemtrail Conspiracy exists if there isn’t someone to blame? or a wrong being committed?

      • Just a tangential thought……people want to believe in a “boogie-man” when they feel powerless in their own lives.

Yeap, no proof or even a stand up and be counted moment.

  3. I don’t know what it is about this topic and your posting about it. Man, have you disrupted my aura and feng schayyyy.
Heh, you have ignited a M80 of thoughts in this old noggin’.
Here is a story that tripped me again: https://100percentfedup.com/vitamin-d-theyve-been-lying-you-all-along-5/
I have never been one to say that you shouldn’t get some sun exposure. I always have thought that the good old sun and a healthy tan was a proper way to revitalize your immune system. I read a story recently that stated that sun exposure gives you a natural buildup in/on the skin to equal or be better than sunscreen lotion.
Anyway, just some late-night thoughts that are rumbling in my head. I just thought that this was another one of those “conspiracy theories” that have been proven false or without merit.

    • While 100%FedUP is well known for it’s Pseudoscience articles, there is often a grain of truth to what they write. Like the National Enquirer, the person writing the articles often has only a few details correct (or can even understand them), but they are not always wrong either. Having said that, if you use them as your main source of information, you are not real smart.

Yes, there is an apparent link between sun exposure (which is proxied by the Vitamin D) and a lower risk of Covid. It may be other things linked to sun exposure. Possibly Melatonin.

It also may explain why black people and other races with more melanin had a harder time with Covid than lighter skinned people, as darker skin prevents the inner skin layers from reacting with sunlight as well. Urban people vs rural people also showed similar results….urban people got about 1/3 the sun exposure of their more rural counterparts
So there is something to what the article says….but it is poorly thought out and even more poorly presented.
