You can’t get those in Florida.
Guaranteed. Too flat.
Nor in Chicago, for that matter. Just not enough elevation. Floods? yes. Inches per hour, maybe even low tens of inches per hour.
But that ain’t a Flash Flood.
(I really wish the Meteorologists would stop using the term incorrectly)

Never happen in Chicago, or Atlanta, or anywhere in Florida.
And out west, the water can come from MILES away. You wont even know it’s been raining until a six foot wall of mud, water, and trees come down that aroyo.
The point is, that “Floods” are not “Flash Floods”
You can’t get flash floods in your AO, and I can’t get them in mine…But in both places the meteorologists/weather announcers use the term “Flash Flood” when they shouldn’t
