They are re-doing some of the site, recreating the gatehouse and adding some other embellishments.
It it is the same little tiny compound I remember from many years ago. Having said that, it was a lot of wall to cover for less than 200 men. But they delayed Santa Anna enough that the Battle of San Jacinto could be prepared….

I must admit I both love and hate the ‘renovations’… When I first went in the 60s, the walls weren’t there, much like it was in the 1800s.
