When the shoe is on the other foot, it often pinches

As evinced by the Washington DC mayor’s response to having 4000+ illegal invaders bussed from the southern border in Texas and Arizona to some tony neighborhoods in DC.

DC’s Democrat mayor calls in the NATIONAL GUARD to deal with migrants: Bowser demands help to deal with Texas Gov. Abbot’s border buses that have caused a ‘humanitarian crisis’

‘The pace of arriving buses and the volume of arrivals have reached tipping points,’ Bowser wrote in a letter to the Biden administration. ‘Our collective response and service efforts have now become overwhelmed.’

Note that the total number of illegals bussed to DC so far is less than the number of illegals that cross the border from Mexico every day in Texas OR Arizona. But since it is in DC it becomes a “crisis”. Not when it was in that flyover country where the people and rule of law doesn’t matter to the DC folks, but when it strikes close to home? Yeah, then Something Must Be Done.

More on Oshkosh as I digest and can comment.
