I mean, my understanding was that the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was in place to allow the US to continue to operate should a war greatly inhibit our ability to import or extract oil. A tactical Strategic Reserve, not an economic Strategic Reserve.
It certainly isn’t a storage device intended to to keep the price of oil down so that the President can look less bad due to high gasoline prices.
And really, the releases are ineffective, reducing prices only a few days if at all.
If you’re among the traitors trying to destroy the country, this is a great idea. Every barrel of oil removed from the reserve and not replaced leaves America one barrel closer to shutting down in a wartime scenario. …All part of the plan…
