Back in 75 I was hitch hiking from south Texas back to the Buckeye state . It was hard to get a ride because of the Highway Killer thing going on at the time . Eventually I got a ride but the guy was going to Chicongo and it was the only offer I had gotten after two days of standing in the Texas sun . I had him drop me off outside the freeway outer belt where I set up my tent and camped out for the night . I swear I could feel an aura of evil around that wicked town all night long and was glad to get away the next morning .
