No, mot the ex president, the Tropical Storm.
And the AWC forecasters, as well as the Weather Briefers, were not terribly accurate in their predictions of ceilings and storm movement. Made for an interesting and exhausting flight home.
But, we were able to leave Tyler,Texas, and if we had to fly lower than I wanted to most of the way (to fly VFR), we made it home after an 8 hour flight. (6 hours 21 minutes down)
Overall, it was a good trip. Even with the weather issues, it was a wash as far as time travelling, and two people flew as cheaply as one would have cost commercial.
More later, with pics, as soon as I get caught up.
This is what I learned to fly for….(the freedom and convenience, not the weather…)
Glad you made it back okay!
